What kind of genre do you think Boys a Liar and Escapism because I think they sound distinct. I will consider Kill Bill in this category as well though they mark it as RnB because of SZA's raise but I feel like there is something else and it feels like this is the trend for 2023.

Boys a liar - hyperpop
Escapism - As interesting as it sounds it's still pop

I don't care the specific genres much but Boy's a liar categorized as drum & bass or hyperpop and the implication that hyperpop is considered normal music really had me making visible confused face.

Upcoming R&B girl group FLO have some drum and bass/garage influence in the production of some of their songs, "Not My Job" in particular. Not sure if it'll be a new trend, but I wouldn't complain if it was!

I just listened to FLO. They Sound promising. Hopefully they will break the 22 Years drought of number 1 song for a girl group. For this type of Genre, I always feel like SZA introduced it in mainstream though they credit this as RnB but it felt wrong. 😂

Boy's A Liar would be Baltimore Club, which is basically a more drum and bass genre that is breakbeat mixed with some r&b and hip hop influences. 

Ecapism is basically UK style Pop rap mixed with alternative R&B and trip hop influences.

Kill Bill is alternative R&B with psychedelic and trip hop influences.

All are basically within a somewhat more R&B and alt influenced spin on other genres.
