Can't find any current info about 90's country artist Benny Wilson but I do love his pure 90's country sound check out his 1992 music video for Fools Moon it's awesome. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jGx809fb_Ls

I enjoy listening to the Prime Country top 30 on Sirius. Just lately I’ve listened to a couple from 1998 and it’s great to hear some songs or artists I haven’t heard in a while. David Kersh, Lila McCann, The Kinleys, Mark Wills, Lari White, and Wade Hayes.

I just recently started listening to Clinton Gregory's music again he had such a unique country sound never had a top 10 but had a few top 30 hits. I always thought he should have been a bigger artist than he was. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8eC5cfum_h0

I guess Bucky Covington to an extent. I feel like he might have had something new out recently, but he was definitely MIA for the longest time.

Oh Phil Vassar! He was kinda big for awhile with a string of hits. But I almost never hear anything about him at all anymore. Doesn’t even seem to get mentioned. Surprisingly I can’t even think of the last time I heard Just Another Day In Paradise on the radio

Surprisingly I can’t even think of the last time I heard Just Another Day In Paradise on the radio The weirdest thing is that he was such a hot songwriter for awhile, churning out SEVERAL major hits with stuff like "Little Red Rodeo", "Bye Bye", "I'm Alright", "My Next Thirty Years", "For A Little While", etc., but he didn't even seem to get used much as a songwriter anymore once his own radio popularity faded. You'd think a guy with a prolific pen like that could have continued to be popular behind the scenes in the industry even if he wasn't having hits of his own anymore.

I was going to say the same thing. Compare that to David Lee Murphy who has turned into a pretty prolific writer after his radio career finished up.

I think Randy Montana and Josh Thompson are better examples of relative unknown artists turnt into prolific behind-the-scene songwriters.

Jessi Alexander, Matt Jenkins, Jonathan Singleton, Jon Randall, Brett James, mark Nesler all come to mind. Katrina Elam, Rachel Proctor, and Shelly Fairchild all were still popping up in album credits a few years back.

Joanna’s album is great. It’s a shame only promo copies exist. I got her to sign it a few years ago as she was in Sunny Sweeny’s band and got to meet her. Matt had a few more independent albums into the mid 2000’s I believe.
