I hope all of you guys are right. I feel like single choices, and the success of her singles were easy to predict before the CP album. I mean, they all mostly went to number one. lol I felt pretty confident in HMH, but for whatever reason it didn't connect well. Streaming never seemed to pick up even though she was performing it every night on tour. I love OOTT, and it's streaming numbers seem to be super promising. Here's to hoping for her first number one in a hot minute. Happy they went this direction. In another life Burn would have been a number one hit, but again, it's impossible to say these days.

I’m still not so sure a deluxe D&R is coming. Mainly because i just don’t think it makes much sense at this point. Then again i could say that about alot of deluxe editions out there. Could just be that they couldn’t deny this getting a radio push with the success they have seen with it so far. If anything, i think it gets tacked on as a bonus track on her next album. Or maybe it just stays as a standalone with it eventually ending up on her next GH project😊
This surely will be a more smooth ride than HMH, right??

I feel like the most logical thing for them to do with "Out of That Truck" would be to tack it onto a deluxe edition of Denim & Rhinestones. There's been no indication that she's ready to move onto an entirely new album of music, so I highly doubt this gets carried over into any new era, and I don't foresee them bothering with another Greatest Hits project anytime soon. Tossing it onto D&R would serve to help that album's numbers since this is streaming well, especially as it becomes a hit and its impact grows. There's literally no benefit to not slapping it onto the record at least on streaming services. It may not reinvigorate the entire album era, but it will do more for it than just leaving OOTT as a standalone track at this point.

And the ad states OOTT is already out streaming 60% of the songs on the billboard chart! This is going to be huge. So glad UMG/Team CU was paying attention to its amazing streaming numbers!! Attachments:

As someone who hates just racking songs onto albums or having a deluxe version this far from initial release I’d be happiest if they just put out a new album this fall.
If this hits like we think it’s going to, this would also start her next era with some momentum after her previous two leads didn’t get the job done.
Now this is Carrie who never moves on that fast so it’s not going to happen but a man can dream right? Lol

I’m kinda hoping for a deluxe, just so it’ll make this album/era look a little less sloppy lol.
Having an good streamer like OOTT, and some additional tracks tacked onto her already short tracklist will help the streaming for this album, and hopefully drag it to a gold certification.
In addition to hopefully giving it its first #1 for the era.

Love love love this song. Burn is such a missed opportunity, but maybe if this smashes she’ll do more songs in this vein.

Good choice, but still not optimistic it can hit #1 on both charts as every woman who's tried in the past year+ has been blocked by a dude.

So a huge feat 👍🏽

Good choice, but still not optimistic it can hit #1 on both charts as every woman who's tried in the past year+ has been blocked by a dude. It's impossible to predict what hits #1 on BB anymore because it all comes down to timing, seeing as low-impact songs randomly reach the top on that chart, while big hits frequently get blocked by major hits that spend 4+ weeks at the top, so I don't even try to worry about it atp. Regardless of where it peaks in the end, I predict this will be her biggest solo hit since "Something in the Water." SITW was the last time one of her singles hit the top 40 on the Hot 100, and once this takes off at radio, I can see this being her first time making it there. With the way its already streaming with ZERO airplay and minimal promo, there's nowhere to go but up.

Not expecting a #1, but a solid hit - especially in streaming is what she needs right now. They’re smart to run with it… it’s a great song for the summer as well.
If this does well, it could very well mean a single or two more from the album (if of course this is part of a deluxe, which I genuinely believe it to be)… if this ends up being it’s own thing, part of a new album, part of a deluxe, or just an off-era filler single, a hit is a hit. OOTT is showing signs of serious potential, more than anything Carrie has released since she switched labels in terms of streaming, so I’m very interested to see how this does and if it does anything to boost Carrie’s profile a bit.

This isn’t the best song she’s done since swapping labels, but it’s definitely the best single she has released. I think this should be huge on radio, honestly.

With all this talk of a deluxe, I just had a thought. What if the additional songs added are the ones that didn’t make the initial album and somehow they all connect better than the original release hmm…

It really can’t be said how amazing it is that OOTT is already out-streaming 60% of the songs on billboard. Those songs are receiving tons of airplay. OOTT has been receiving zero— and it’s already out-streaming over half the chart. This is really looking like a hit!

This is the best single since the new carrie Era for sure.
I hope this can land her back in good graces with radio. My only concern is that she has severely hurt her radio momentum for multiple radio singles. That might have a impact on this single as it starts its climb. Unfortunately radio doesn't really look at what streams well to make songs a hit. They use radio testing, so this ultimately will need to test well for it to do well. Audience streaming/impressions won't just do the trick.
I still feel carrie has been putting out her lowest level of work in her career and I'm seeing why her songs are under performing. I would hate for her to lose her radio career like countless others to early.

It tested well but it sold and streamed like shit and in order for solo female songs to reach or near the penthouse on country radio they need both ("Heart Like A Truck", "What He Didn't Do", and "Tennessee Orange").

Doesn’t “testing well” essentially mean a relatively small number of radio die-hards were polled? Not sure how it works entirely, but I’ve come to learn that “testing well” means absolutely nothing, at least not without fan support and heavy streaming.

Unfortunately for female artists, testing is still important. A female artist can have a song that’s streaming & selling well, but if it’s not testing well, it’ll be used against them (to me it’s just a lazy excuse for programmers to not play female artists).

It's so frustrating the double standard with women. Because while "Ghost Story" didn't sell/stream hugely, it didn't outright tank. It did better than "Country On," for example, on the hot 100 and HCS, but that one was able to make it to #1 and GS barely made it to the top 5. There were many other male songs it outperformed that still made it to #1 as well.

And I’m not disagreeing with any of that but the poster specifically said testing is what matters…and Ghost Story tested well lol it was like #3 overall for the testing aspect..at least according to Monday Morning Intel So yes it’s more than just testing well when it comes to being a radio hit

So basically everything needs to be perfect for it go number one? Got it. Well, at least streaming is good without any airplay, so that's a positive. Let's see how it tests now.

I mean in the end, radio acts a medium to propel sales and streams of the song, which are what actually matters for song certifications. If I were to choose, I would definitely prefer a song with good streaming but not a huge radio hit versus being a radio hit but dead anywhere else.

I’ve definitely come around to this becoming a single. I do like it, but initially I really wanted something from the album. “She Don’t Know” in particular I think would be a risky but profitable choice.
That being said, this is really growing on me, and I hope it hits big. It’s too bad that they didn’t include it on the album if they wanted to putsch it as a single though.

Not as crazy about this as yall are but it does look promising based on the streams. Hope it gets things back on track.
