plus it got a music video so it might actually be next single? I think I'm digging this groove better than the first single. Time will tell.

WMG’s shuffling continues. The Alt adds date has been pushed back to 6/20. My guess is that they’re trying to get grandson back on the slate and make room for Royal Blood.

Last single is calling out huge for Audacy & IHeart. That’s primary reason for the delay. Crush management wanted last single to erode more and it hasn’t really happened. So when Audacy (11 reporters) and IHeart (14 reporters- 6 now 24/7 custom) have the last song in power rotation, it can be a challenge launching follow up in a huge way - no matter what the artist.

*BUT THE DATA SAYS THAT LISTENERS LIKE THE SONG A LOT SO WE MUST PLAY IT MORE REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH WE HAVE PLAYED IT BEFORE*

To the comment above - it’s a commercial medium and real measurable hits that callout are not that common. Callout research, however flawed, is expensive. And know that station superiors (OM, GM etc) have access to it. And can second guess it if it’s not being utilized. So if research is saying that people love a song and it has minimal or no burn, they are unlikely to drop it. I can tell you right now in this ALT climate, most of the stuff calling out consistently is older recurrent songs. The reason say Beach Weather has been on the charts for eternity isn’t because programmers are in love with it - just that it scores high, shows minimal burn (burn = audience says they are tired of it), and too few things are scoring as well to replace it. The new stuff in general is researching middling to poorly. Most of the top 10 songs at alt aren’t researching that well. It’s a weird era where alt radio audience appetite for new music is not at its highest

check this live action out. Even wearing the outfits. The bass player is totally Kurt Russel's Snake Plissken.

If WDSTF goes top 10, when was the last time an Alt band had 2 active singles rising in the Top 10 at the same time (as opposed to it happening because a top 10 song is dropping and the follow up single is rising)?

Didn't Mumford and Sons have something close to that happen with "Believe" and "The Wolf"? I think The Wolf was released right after Believe was, but Believe stayed strong for awhile.
