"Boy's A Liar" and "Princess Diana" may not get to #1, but their success reminds me how social media (which aids in building a fan base) and the streaming era have been beneficial for women rappers. It's wild to think about for how long "Doo Wop" was the only Hot 100 #1 by a woman rapper, and then in a fairly short span we got #1s from Cardi B, Megan Thee Stallion, Doja Cat, and Minaj. It also helps that women are outdoing the men when it comes to rap music.

Didn't the solo version have more streams for the week? Presumably it had more airplay too. Why would Doja Cat get a credit?

Part of me still doesn't want to believe its happening bc I don't want to be disappointed again but thats a pretty healthy gap between Kill Bill and Last Night...

Kill Bill actually finished just in line with expectations. But Last Night really slowing down on streaming faster than anyone expected may have helped. Regardless Morgan will be back atop the chart in a week. KB remix streams are starting to plummet on Spotify and EBS likely needs 45m to compete with LN.

According to my data, what won the race for Kill Bill wasn’t any big sales or streaming surge in the middle of the week, but a slowdown in streaming for Last Night. Had Morgan held his streaming numbers to last week’s levels, he would have held on to the top spot by the skin of his teeth.
So yeah, this race was very much winnable for Morgan. Regardless this is not the last time we’ll be seeing “Last Night” atop the Hot 100, and if things continue to go well for him he’ll be in the running for year-end #1.

Let's hope Kill Bill pulls through and finally makes it to #1 this week, it would be totally deserved, fingers crossed!
Also, happy to see Calm Down still growing fast on radio. In about a week it will be above or close to 80M AI and if it keeps growing, I can see it becoming a #1 radio hit by summertime, given its summery, breezy, chill vibes. I would love to see it enter the top 3 on the Hot 100, at least.

Idk, the Creepin-Kill Bill-Flowers trio is the strongest radio top 3 we’ve had since As It Was-First Class-About Damn Time in the summer. But if any song could break in, it would be Calm Down, either it or Last Night. It should go to #4 at the least, the only reason I don’t think it’s going Top 3 is because Ella Baila Sola is likely gonna pass it before it can pass Flowers. Feel like Ella Baila Sola is coming for that #1 spot fast, it's just a matter of weeks time I’d say the song is going to be a #1 contender in 3 weeks time, just wait and see.

Morgan Wallen Makes History as First Artist With Three Songs in Country Airplay Top 10 "Last Night" leaps to No. 8, in between "Thought You Should Know" at No. 7 and "One Thing at a Time" at No. 9.
BY JIM ASKER
MMorgan Wallen places three titles inside the top 10 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart (dated April 29) – becoming the first artist to achieve the feat since the survey began in January 1990.
The 29-year-old Sneedville, Tenn., native earns his 10th Country Airplay top 10 as “Last Night,” on Mercury/Republic/Big Loud Records, jumps from No. 13 to No. 8. It rose by 21% to 19.4 million audience impressions in the week ending April 20, according to Luminate.
The song leapfrogs Wallen’s “One Thing at a Time,” up 10-9 for a new high (17.9 million, up 3%), while “Thought You Should Know” dips 5-7 (21.7 million, down 5%). The latter gave Wallen his eighth Country Airplay leader when it began a three-week reign in February.
Concurrently, “Last Night,” which is being promoted to pop and adult radio, climbs to No. 16 on Pop Airplay, No. 19 on Adult Pop Airplay and No. 26 on Adult Contemporary. It claimed a third week atop the all-genre, streaming, airplay and sales-based Billboard Hot 100 dated April 22.
All three Wallen hits are on his 36-track LP One Thing at a Time, which has led Top Country Albums and the all-genre Billboard 200 for its first six weeks.
Wallen’s triple in the Country Airplay top 10 follows pop radio’s increasing willingness to play multiple hits by a single artist simultaneously. In May 2021, Ariana Grande became the first act to log three top 10s at once on Pop Airplay; Doja Cat and Harry Styles have since earned the honor, while Miley Cyrus currently has three songs on the latest list from her new album, Endless Summer Vacation: “Jaded” debuts at No. 39, as “Flowers” tallies a ninth week at No. 1 and “River” ranks at No. 25.
“I’m excited to see radio continuing to invest in [country’s] core artists,” Big Loud vp of promotion Ali Matkosky recently told Billboard. “In a time where listeners are pointing out daily what they want to hear [via streaming services], it makes more and more sense to lean into that data.”
‘Rock’ on a Roll
Bailey Zimmerman notches a fifth week atop Country Airplay, as “Rock and a Hard Place” holds at the apex (32 million, down 6%). The song first led the list dated April 1, giving Zimmerman his second straight career-opening chart-topper, following “Fall in Love,” which ruled for one week in December.
Meanwhile, Zimmerman’s latest single, “Religiously,” pushes 56-50 (1.3 million, up 33%).

March 22-29, 2014: No. 1. Happy - Pharrell No. 2. Dark Horse - Katy Perry No. 3. All of Me - John Legend Otherwise last years Top 10 had seven YE Top 10 hits at once, which I think might be the most ever. No. 1. "As It Was" (Ended at No. 2) No. 2. "First Class" (Ended at No. 6) No. 3. "Heat Waves" (Ended at No. 1) No. 4. "Big Energy" (Ended at No. 7) No. 6. "Stay" (Ended at No. 3) No. 9. "Super Gremlin" (Ended at No. 9) No. 10. Not sure why you're accusing the predictors who have consistently given us accurate predictions weekly for months of faking predictions this week for no real reason, and I'm not sure why you're so upset especially considering Last Night has been #1 for multiple weeks now

Not sure why you're accusing the predictors who have consistently given us accurate predictions weekly for months of faking predictions this week for no real reason, and I'm not sure why you're so upset especially considering Last Night has been #1 for multiple weeks now I’ve never really followed a Hot 100 prediction in real time before. So I was kind of startled to see a decisive Kill Bill victory after a week of what was looking like a narrow win for Last Night.

Can someone explain why regional Mexican/Peso Pluma is so huge right now? Is it different demographics joining streaming or is Peso Pluma just that big of a star? I’m not hating, this just came out of nowhere and I’m confused.
