un x100to might've debuted #1 if it was released on Friday? Or maybe it'll pull a LYTLM and rise to number one off a strong mid-week debut the previous week

Chicos, la música en español llego para quedarse en los billboard.
Bad Bunny being most streamed artist, verano sin ti being number one album last year (for a lot), Karol G getting a lot of hits and a number one album. Rosalia's Despechada and Beso smashing global. Shakira having two top 10s back to back, pulling massive numbers. And a regional Mexicana getting a first top 10 hit, with Peso Pluma with 4 (or more) songs smashing at the same time.
Peso Plumo La Bebe remix is my favorite song right now, yes he have more mexicana songs, but this song is 100% reggaeton, love it !!
quiere que le ponga música pa' que baile hasta abajo la bebé !!
And now Bad Bunny with Grupo Frontera, getting huge numbers on streaming!!! latino music is getting so powerfull and diverse (they were always diverse, but now seeing differents latino genres being on the top !! its a dream, my 10years old myself wouldnt expect something like this happening.
I know there's a lot of people would say idk 2010-2013 years were the best years, but for me living this "golden age" of latino music is by far better !!

SZA - Kill Bill 1,147,214 ( +103,494) (+10%)8. Yng Lvcas, Peso Pluma - La Bebe Remix 1,115,432 ( +148,629) (+15%)9. ( DEBUT) Grupo Frontera, Bad Bunny - un x100to 1,091,82610. Post Malone - Chemical 1,065,370 ( +130,609) (+14%)11. Labrinth - Never Felt So Alone 983,632 ( +283,112) (+40%) If you combine the streams like so, we have a whole top 10 with 1+ million streams! when's the last time that happened?? Also surprised at the unexpected success of Labrinth & Billie's new song, potential big hit? The increase is likely the result of them performing it at Coachella a couple of days ago.

Double Fantasy is out on Friday. Depending on how trap-infused and toxic it is I could see this being Abel's first #1 debut

I wonder what’s with all the sudden rise of Regional Mexican music in the American charts. Of course the Mexican diaspora is huge in the US but why right now?

If other people are anything like me, they probably dated a Mexican chick from Houston and spent a summer there where that genre is inescapable lmao.

I think KB may do it at this point. Seems like the audience updated on pop have been weird to LN the last few days.. and KB has been holding steady on streaming.

It's super interesting to see how regional Latin music's popularity is. Spotify provides streaming data by city, and take a look at the top Latin songs last week for a few cities:
NYC #11 - BESO by Rosalia (Spanish) & Rauw Alejandro (Puerto Rican) #12 - TQG by KAROL G & Shakira (both Colombian) #19 - Me Porto Bonito by Bad Bunny & Chencho Corleone (both Puerto Rican) #21 - Titi Me Pregunto by Bad Bunny (Puerto Rican)
Miami #1 - TQG by KAROL G & Shakira (both Colombian) #3 - BESO by Rosalia (Spanish) & Rauw Alejandro (Puerto Rican) #4 - Yandel 150 by Yandel (Puerto Rican) & Feid (Colombian) #5 - Coco Chanel by Eladio Carrion & Bad Bunny (both Puerto Rican)
Los Angeles #2 - Ella Baila Sola by Eslabon Armado (both Mexican) #5 - PRC by Peso Pluma & Natanael Cano (both Mexican) #6 - La Bebe by Yng Lvcas & Peso Pluma (both Mexican) #7 - AMG by Nataneal Cano, Peso Plumo & Gabito Ballesteros (all Mexican)
Dallas #1 - Ella Baila Sola by Eslabon Armado (both Mexican) #4 - La Bebe by Yng Lvcas & Peso Pluma (both Mexican) #6 - PRC by Peso Pluma & Natanael Cano (both Mexican) #7 - AMG by Nataneal Cano, Peso Plumo & Gabito Ballesteros (all Mexican)
Cleveland No Spanish-language songs in the Top 100. Morgan Wallen makes 22 appearances though!

Morgan Wallen makes 22 appearances though! Exactly! California and Texas are 2 states heavily influenced by Mexican culture, for obvious reasons. However, NYC and Miami are mostly driven by Caribean styles such as reggaeton and dembow.

Double Fantasy is out on Friday. Depending on how trap-infused and toxic it is I could see this being Abel's first #1 debut They played all the right cards for this. First the IG live, then at a Nav concert, then at Coachella. The hype is there and i’d be very surprised if it doesn’t become a hit. Future has also been on a run ever since Wait For U so that’s a decent factor to note.

Heat Waves collapsing (-70) on US Spotify. Autoplay? No it’s due to the weather being shit again. Looking at the forecast, it will pick up again on the Saturday update to collaspe yet again next week.

Funny to think that it feels like Morgan Wallen just chillin around while the others are fighting for survival just to get the top spot. 😂

Along with Latin, the US seems to be opening up to any culturally diverse music! 🌎 Afrobeat's also on the rise. Although the K-Pop phenomenon is almost completely confined to the fandoms, I don't think it'll be long before that starts crossing over into mainstream US culture too
This rise in Latin music's also highlighting just how culturally different different parts of the US are! Up here in Michigan the popular music's usually represented better by the Canadian Hot 100 🍁
