Finally a serious song from Lewis that doesnβt sound like heβs trying to be funny Maybe because he doesn't appear in the video? "Forget Me" wasn't really trying to be funny, but the video reflected the goofiness that he often shows on social media, and so probably detracted from whatever he was trying to emotionally convey. |

For some reason the lyrics with the line about vitriol and the overall tone of Forget Me, just made me feel like the song was meant to have a humorous edge - even without the video. Same with Pointless, I can't help feeling like the line "eveything is pointless without you" in the tone it was delivered, gives the song a slightly humorous feel. I'm not particularly bothered by it, I just appreciate "Wish You The Best" and its seriousness & connection I'd put on the same level as Someone You Loved and Before You Go. |
