Are all songs exempt from the 20/50 or 52/25 rule if they show any gains at all on their 21st or 53rd week? I thought the increase had to be significant and due to a special reason, like a push at a new radio format, which doesn't seem to be SITO's case. It does have a bullet on the Country Airplay chart, but it's at the same position as last week, #25, so it couldn't have been that significant, and it's not showing any other new appearances or increases on any other airplay or component charts, if I'm not mistaken.
I think it will continue to beat recurrency until it's actively being rotated out on country radio Agreed. The Country Airplay chart has become a notoriously slow churning chart which has allowed several Country songs in recent years to chart below the top 50 in defiance of the 20/50 Hot 100 recurrency rule. Something in the Orange is the first to defy the 52/25 Hot 100 recurrency rule due to gains in Country radio airplay.

Jeez, of all the time to start pushing SITO on country radio, right when it's at its 53rd week? It'll be a nice surprise if it gets a second wind that puts it back into the top 25 to beat the recurrency rule for good, but this has to be one of the latest radio pushes I've ever seen.

Um the push doesn't happen right when it's at its 53rd week lmao. It started gaining slowly in country radio in October last year, and as said above, the gains in country radio are really slow.
