He may have had a big hit or two but he’s not really an A-lister like Drake, Kendrick, Future, J. Cole, 21 Savage are. He’s really in the same boat as Kid Laroi.

Even if Jack gets an album bomb it’s hard to see him getting a #1 unless he really takes off on radio. He has the exact same problem Ella Baila Sola has; with no radio, he needs to have a song get well over 40 million streams to beat Last Night. That’s why the only threats to the dominant #1s this year (Flowers and Last Night) have been remix boosts to songs that were already in the top 10 with strong radio (Die for You, Kill Bill) or BTS mass buying frenzies (Like Crazy).

Yes, last year we had album bomb #1s for songs like Wait 4 U, but that still only barely edged out As It Was the week it debuted and had quite a bit of airplay to carry it. Oh, and it literally had Drake on it. According to some calculations I did on excel if Wait 4 U was released today and got the same numbers, it would not beat Last Night.

The same Drake who got Churchill Downs to a monster debut of…23? Drake as a featured artist generally isn’t the streaming juggernaut he is as lead artist. And if he couldn’t unseat Morgan as a lead I don’t think he’ll do any better as a featured act.

That had more to do with being a 5 minute song that wasn’t radio/single material whatsoever lol.

That was my point though...if Jack collaborated with Drake again it would have to be a good, radio-friendly song to be another "First Class" (since we were discussing his commercial potential). Just having Drake on a song doesn't guarantee it will be a hit, obviously.

He's literally the guy to beat on the charts right now. His song is basically the main benchmark we have to compare any song to when talking about whether or not it will hit #1.

I mean from February to March everything had to be measured against Flowers to assess the odds of it going to #1. Even Last Night on album release week was measured that way.

If people are talking about Eslabon Armado and Jack Harlow you don't have to hijack the conversation to make it about Morgan Wallen. Not every song has to go to number one or is even expected to go to number one, so discussing them doesn't automatically bring him into the conversation.

Not sure, it's possible, but that person's account was created August 2013, and they have a heavy posting history all the way back since then. Phi's account was created in 2019.
