Wow I knew Spotify was bigger globally but I didn't know the difference was that stark. I guess only iPhone users have Apple Music - and the market for non Apple phones is much larger globally.

Not Hot 100 related, but the most streamed song on Apple Music has only 930 million streams. That's a low number. I know Spotify has way more users, but Spotify having over 400 songs with 1 billion and Apple Music having Zero is very shocking. |

Spotify also launched way earlier, when AM hit the market, Spotify already amassed 75M total subscribers. |

I haven't seen such a stable top 3 on radio in a long time. With Calm Down kinda stalling, I can no longer see it overtaking the current top 3. If it remains stable, it could peak at #3 in about a week, but that will be it probably, unless its airplay surges as the summer arrives, given its upbeat/rhythmic, summery vibe.
Anyway, Miley just completed a 12th week atop Radio Songs. Given how stable it currently is, it could very well reach 16 weeks at number one on that chart. I don't see any contender toppling it anytime soon. With Morgan Wallen's Last Night already stalling (it will probably peak at below 80M AI at this rate), Miley is not facing any contender currently and remains way ahead of the competition with her 103.64 AI. I feel like it'll remain atop radio for at least the remainder of May and maybe until mid-June, if not even later (depending on when Pop & HAC drop it from heavy rotation and the competing songs' performance).

Ella Baila Sola stays on top for a fourth week in a row, but the gap between it and Last Night is shrinking as the former was down 7.57% and the latter was up an almost equal 7.81%. There's still a 1M gap between the two so let's see how things play out the next couple of weeks. Only other things to note about the Top 10 this week were songs reaching new peaks as Cupid went up to #7 with a small gain of 3.94 and PRC was up to #9 despite actually being down 1.11%. Finally, Luke Comb's cover of Fast Car re-entered the Top 10 with a sizeable increase of 16.29%
Unfortunately we have another slow week as Ed Sheeran somehow performed WORSE than either Jack Harlow or Eslabon Armado. So much so that on the US Album Charts, Destroy Lonely's debut album outstreamed him! In fact the bigger stories this week seemed to be the virality of Area Codes and MATHEMATICAL DISRESPECT, and Taylor Swift's announcement of Speak Now (Taylor's Version) which helped Enchanted rebound back up.

I feel 16 weeks is definitely within its reach and 20 weeks might not be a stretch, unless Pop/HAC drop it sometime during the summer. For Flowers to reach 26 weeks it would have to remain atop Radio Songs until late August, so basically throughout the summer. I feel like some other smash will have exploded on radio by late summer and Flowers' AI should have considerably dropped by then. But anything is possible with how stagnant radio is as of late haha! But if I were to make a guess, I would say it'll do 16-18 weeks at #1 overall, maybe 20 if competition remains low. In any case, it is already a very longevous radio hit for Miley! |
