Music video to "Growin' Up Raising You." A very simple video, but she looks stunning in it. Hoping they choose this for the next single, its such a good song, and connecting the best off the new album.

"Growin' Up Raising You" is like my... 7th or 8th fave track on the record and there's several other songs I'd rather see radio over it, BUT if it is connecting in a big way and I do see smash potential in it, then I'll be fine if it's her next single. She really has so many viable options on Chapter & Verse imo.
Also, the music video for "Growin'" is absolutely stunning. It is indeed simple but beautifully executed, and it reminds me a bit of "No Place That Far" by Sara Evans visually. Different song concepts, but the red gowns and the woodsy setting both made me think of that video stylistically.

Now that the album is out, I wouldn't mind if this song is dropped within the next month or so as the clear interest is with "Growing Up Raising You" and this song is struggling to stay afloat as this lost its bullet on Mediabase with a -70 bullet and it hasn't really gained much since the start of the month even despite the album coming out. At best I feel like this sneaks a week in the Top 15 on one of the charts, but it would be smart to cut their losses.

I was hopeful this would be another top 10 hit for her, but atp I wouldn't mind if they moved on soon either. There's lots of songs on the album with a better chance of moving the needle in a bigger way than this one ever did and she really needs one of those higher-impact hits again.

Yeah this made top 20 on mediabase (I think), so still semi successful in my book. I wouldn't mind if they dropped it, rather than just trying to keep it around to get a top 10, when that won't change anything impact wise for the song.
"Growin' Up Raising You" still is popular on Tik Tok. I say we go ahead and get that one going.

Her album failed to debut on the Billboard 200 (yikes), but debuted at #39 on the Top Country Albums chart. Not too surprised she fell off the way she did, but it's a little depressing to see her have such a major debut era and not be able to chart a 2nd album.

To be fair, this song was a pretty mediocre lead single choice and this didn't generate much buzz for the album at all, in addition to her being pregnant. Oh and album sales are pathetic if your name isn't Morgan Wallen, Zach Bryan, Luke Combs and to a lesser extent Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney, and HARDY. If you aren't one of those acts more than likely the album gets lost in the shuffle pretty quickly.
She is nowhere near the popularity she was at during her first two singles. But among the women in country I would say she is doing fine, not anywhere near Lainey Wilson, but nothing horrific.

I know sometimes this derails her threads but we really can't deny her husband is a weirdo and turns off many people. That, coupled with the fact she was never going to be able to live up to the 1-2 punch she kicked her career off with singles-wise makes it really unsurprising she is just a side note now.
She has a good voice, but she can't enunciate well, and nothing has come close to being as "WOW" as 'I Hope.' I know she had babies and probably is focusing on her family more than her career, but I also think her material just isn't that strong (aside from the first two hits).

To each their own, but I think her new album is a definite overall step up from her debut, and I LOVED Goldmine. There's lots of hit potential on C&V imo, but "Glory Days" was just a safe song all around and had 0 crossover potential, and she just keeps popping out babies instead of focusing on promo so I'm like not that surprised the album's debut came so quietly considering the factors. I feel like she'll bounce back though once she actually 1) releases something that moves the needle more, like "Growin' Up Raising You" is indicating already that it would do, i.e. and 2) actually promotes her country career.
I don't think she's ever going to be the kind of mainstay radio darling that Lainey Wilson and, I suspect soon, Megan Moroney are/will be, but Gabby Barrett will probably sit comfortably among the ranks of Carly Pearce, Kelsea Ballerini, etc.

You do have to admit it is impressive she can be as successful as she is while all but ignoring her career + her husband actively hurting it. A top 20 single that is decent at best/not moving the needle at all while not promoting it whatsoever is impressive.

It's almost like, when you release a poor connecting single and quietly release an album with zero promotion, it gets lost in the shuffle. I'm not surprised where it ended up, I'd be more surprised if she was still hustling like she did with her debut and ended up where she did; which I feel like many are acting like that's what the case is. But the case is, there was no promo, and has pretty much disappeared since Glory Days dropped. She actually sent a memo out to her fans a few weeks ahead of the album that she wasn't going to be able to do much during release week due to her pregnancy, but had more planned at a later date.
I think it's just a continuation of the conversation we had about her career a few months ago; her career isn't her focus right now. Hopefully, she will pay a little more attention to her career after this child, because I do think she has her own unique lane in the genre; none of the newer females feel like they have vocal power, like Gabby does.

It's such a weird juncture in her life to release an album. The songs from the first - and the first era therein - amounted to this massive bang, she had her lane, carved out a spot, and had all the momentum in the world. Women shouldn't be punished for having kids, but her whole identity becoming an old fashioned wife and Mother devoted to her cowboy man seemed to spill into not only her dereliction of promotion but the musical content itself. This second album just seems like a bunch of Gabby meets Country radio AI generations, with forgettable songs, all tethered to a role that verges on cultlishly creepy. It's such a weak album, I can't even blame them for mis-handling single picks.
I understand she owes the label music, and they likely wanted to strike while she still had momentum from I Hope & Good Ones, but one can't help but wonder if she'd been better of waiting to release a second album entirely. Till she could invest time and energy to promote one, or at least make a good one. Burned chances, tanked albums and underperforming singles are oftentimes more destructive for a career than just silence.
I wonder where she goes from here.

www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-13097895/Gabby-Barrett-Cade-Foehner-announce-arrival-child.htmlShe just recently had her third kid. Hopefully for her career she isn't pregnant with kid #4 this time next year. I am joking to an extent, but I do hope she gets back out there and not be dragged down by her husband (seriously he creeps me out), "Glory Days" is probably not making it much higher on the charts, and while I don't like her last album, she has potential with some of the songs especially "Growing Up Raising You"

I used to hear this a ton on the radio but since late last year my local station has almost quit playing it which is weird. They did just start playing “Dance Like No Ones Watching” so maybe they are testing that out as the next single.

I just hope that they go with "Growing Up Raising You" and not "Dance Like No One's Watching" as the former has the chance to really put her back in the spotlight somewhat while the latter I feel like could get lost in the shuffle.

Given todays update; along with the pretty rough updates this has had over the past week, it looks like this was pulled. Here’s hoping we get an adds date for “Growin Up Raising You” soon, as that is by far the best connecting song on the album.

Well this song did sneak another week on Billboard, but this should be done and going recurrent for good this time next week.

Wish this could've at least made the top 20 for her, but I am also simultaneously really happy they aren't going to keep this one on life support to try and get it there. Beyond ready for another single, and for it to hopefully revitalize this era.
