She’s back with new music since, 2002?

I loved Amanda Marshall in the 90s and early 2000s. But this has to be the worst song that I’ve heard in the past 5 years. It’s laughably awful.

I didn’t want to say it off the bat, however, I concur completely.
I also loved her back in the 90s, I had her debut album on tape. 🙃

I'm seeing her this summer too! I like her raspy soulful thing and judging from this song at least, that hasn’t diminished. I am however holding out for another Dark Horse or Beautiful Goodbye on this new album please.

Where is she playing? Had no idea she was doing live shows.

^For now looks like it's a Jun-Aug '23 Canadian city tour. Maybe she's waiting to see how it does to venture farther?

Oh nice. Just looked for tickets, I was hoping she’d have something in Simcoe County. Not sure I want to drive through Toronto traffic for that. 25 & Counting: The Heavy Lifting Tour. — Interesting name. www.ticketmaster.ca/Amanda-Marshall-tickets/artist/770418edit: ok, those tickets are expensive. Also weird that she’d go past Ottawa to London, back to Ottawa, and then back to Kitchener. :/Guess you gotta work with what you can book. Just a bitch of a drive. Hope you guys have a great show, I’ll definitely be jealous of you hearing those debut album songs.

Her debut album was a triumph. Literally every song could have been a radio single (and most were). However, she is an artist who did not get better with time. A few songs on her second and third albums were good, but could not capture the same magic as on her first album. That being said, I love her voice and would love to see her live!
Could you imagine her voice on a dance song? I’d love to hear that!

Great interview, she’s quite endearing, and I missed her.

Her new album is great, but I think this is my least favourite song on it. I’m just glad she’s back though. “Not A Love Song” would make a great third single.
