Travis Scott’s UTOPIA (Cactus Jack/Epic) will spend another week at #1 as Karol G’s MAÑANA SERÁ BONITO (BITCHOTA SEASON) (Bitchota/Interscope) heads for a Top 5 debut. Meanwhile, Republic could have as many as 13 titles in this week’s Top 20, including eight from Taylor Swift. Will this continue now that she’s completed her initial U.S. run?

Also notable: 7 of those 8 are now locked are now locked to cross a million in SPS this year. 'Evermore' could also make it, but will likely end up just being painfully close (but impressive for the bast*ard stepchild album!).

I wish we could get an actual full update of her SPS totals (we did get that '1989' was 12.3 mil recently). After this year, her RIAA cert eligibility is going to be so bonkers.

It's impressive Swift is doing this as no one else is, but at the same time it's really just a comment on how sad the state of the music industry is at this point. The fact that new artists and releases aren't successful enough to keep old ass albums out of the top 10 is just really sad. Morgan Walgreens having two albums in the top 10 for so long is just another example.

Sure that's part of it, but some of her charting albums are literal yearS old. Dangerous is still near the top 10 and is 2.5 yearS old. It would also be one thing if a lot of these albums were still charting hits, but some of these albums just linger because that's what happens now and there is nothing new replacing them. Look at how Fleetwood Mac is hovering around the top 40 with an album from the 1970s. Drake's Take Care is still top 50 and above Harry Styles' most recent album.

Constantly releasing has been helping her old catalog in addition to obviously creating new hit albums. No doubt she’s still the most popular artist and her albums would be charting high regardless, but if she only released 2 or 3 albums instead of 8 the last few years then it probably wouldn’t be anywhere near the same situation of 5 albums top 10.

As for the other stuff, that has to do with streaming accurately showcasing the long lasting strength of classic albums.

Most of the public has *always* kept staple albums in rotation for years and years. Now in streaming that consumption is just actually reflected week after week.

If the streaming eco system always existed I’m sure albums like Thriller, Nevermind, Rumours, etc would’ve just spent years top 40 in other decades too.

There just may be a dry period with new music right now, but old albums being constantly revisited is probably always going to happen and the current longevity is probably more likely the reality that has always existed with some huge albums whether it was reflected then or not.

TOP 50: SCOTT'S STREAK, KAROL'S SEASON AND MORE TAY

Cactus Jack/Epic's Travis Scott logs a third consecutive week at #1 on the HITS Top 50, as UTOPIA increases 25% to 186k. Team Cactus Jack moved nearly 100k in pure sales—more on that here.

Bichota/Interscope's Karol G scores a Top 3 bow with her 10-track project, MAÑANA SERA BONITO (Bichota Season). The project arrived at kickoff of the Colombian superstar's U.S. stadium tour.

Republic earns nine titles in the Top 20, led by Morgan Wallen's One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury) at #2 and Taylor Swift's Speak Now (Taylor's Version), Midnights and Lover holding #5-7.

Swift places seven albums in the Top 20, including 1989 (Big Machine), which gets a huge boost (+40%, #9) thanks to Tay's announcement of her own version arriving 10/27.

1400/10K Project's Trippie Redd has the second biggest bow at #13 with A Love Letter To You 5.

Streeting this week are new projects from Columbia's Hozier, Interscope's Reneé Rapp, QC/Motown's Quavo, CMG/Interscope's EST Gee, Warner's Warren Zeiders and HYBE/Geffen's J-Hope.

Folklore should switch places with Travis Scott's UTOPIA. 

Ironically, it seems neither Folklore nor Reputation will make this week's top 10 in the Billboard 200.  I would go with Folklore switching places with Dangerous this week.

Regarding Utopia, I guess Travis seems to be among the few remaining rappers that still manages to have relatively good pure sales thanks to his gimmicks.

Her label loves her!
She streams nicely as well.
I would rather have her on my label than Drake?
A sale is a sale and it takes a lot of streams to make one sale.
