as a good pop album yes but in terms of success no since it did not reach #1. it literally wouldβve if it was released most other weeks in the summer so idk what your point is here + it had multiple smash hit singles (barbie world, dance the night, what was I made for)

Travis' album has seemed to me like a 'burn bright than burn out' type deal - like, when it hit, it hit but it isn't really sticking as strongly a few weeks in. (EDIT: Okay, so apparently it's been #1 on the albums chart since it debuted. I presumed it was declining 'cause I thought based on the Spotify updates its streaming was dropping.)
Morgan has had several hits but they've been much more spread out over time than focused around this particular summer.
Barbie meanwhile, has been one of the pop culture highlights of the year and its hits are all happening at the same time (Dua/Nicki & Ice/Billie/Charli and even Ryan Gosling has gotten some chart action). The combination of everything happening all at once puts the Barbie album high above anything else.

in a way i am actually surprised the Barbie soundtrack numbers are not higher. the movie is the top movie of the year so far and several of the songs are big radio hits . in previous decades an album with all that going for it would have had multiply weeks at #1.
