Was "All I Want for Christmas Is You" excluded as the 1994 selection because it's a holiday song?
Anyway it is interesting to see how many white rock bands are represented here as personally I think of the 1990s as a hugely diverse decade for music.

It would have been #1 for 1994 if I counted it. Christmas songs will get their own chart. As for the diversity of the 90s, the full list (or at least, top 100) is here pulsemusic.proboards.com/post/8511690/thread. 101-200 will get posted later tonight

Of these 10 songs for the 1990s, women are a large part (i.e. being the sole artist or part of the credited group) on 2 of the songs. Of the 10 songs for the 1980s, women are a large part on 1 song. Of the 10 songs for the 1970s, women are a large part on 0 songs. Of the 10 songs for the 1960s, women are a large part on 2 songs.
So, women are only a part of 5 of the 40 songs (12.5%). Of those 5 songs, only 2 are by a solo woman, and then 1 other is by a group of women. The other 2 songs of the 5 have women as part of a group/duet, so really only 3 of the 40 songs (7.5%) are completely credited to women while 35 of the 40 (87.5%) are completely credited to men.

Yep, I had noticed this as well. And given that this is a streaming list, it's hard to blame it on the industry. Same thing with the lack of diversity, which surprisingly is actually better for the 60s than for the 70s or 80s. I will say that I already have the 2000s list done, and it's a LOT better in both regards.

not a very good lineup compared to songs that were actually popular during the decade . Wannabe easily for me since the list has too much rock and alternative for my liking.
1 Wannabe 2 What Is Love? 3 Smells Like Teen Spirit 4 Still D.R.E.

Voted for Zombie.
I would be fine if I never heard that strings riff from Bittersweet Symphony ever again.

All these songs are ok, but I do not like any of them particularly. But I will go with Wannabe
