For some reason, I just can’t get into “Lil Boo Thang”… probably because it just so blatantly lifts The Emotions’ iconic “Best of My Love”. I’m all for creative sampling; it just seems like no effort was put behind it at all. It just seems so lazy.

I see Mariah, Wham!, and Bobby Helms there in the top 200 of U.S. Spotify, but not Brenda Lee. Was she just not included, or is "RATCT" not top 200?

I also see that the "White Christmas" error is still there. What's interesting there is that last year "WC" was being combined with "Holly Jolly Christmas" on Spotify on some days. If you go to Burl Ives on Spotify, he has a song called "Christmas Child" that is showing as having over 1.3 billion streams...which is the same exact overall total that "White Christmas" is showing. Meanwhile "HJC" is showing with only 360k total streams even though we know it's popular every season. I don't even know what all is going on.

Clearly these public-facing Spotify *house* errors aren't the same data submitted for the charts/royalty payments. I'm just floored that so many people hit Xmas playlists the first weekend in Nov. I don't ever recall that many Xmas songs charting that early.

With how weak the charts are right now, plus the fact that the biggest current superstars (Taylor, Drake, Bad Bunny, etc) have already released their new albums, Christmas could potentially dominate this year more than it ever has before.
