They still could get a top 10... but either way, it is an impressive feat even at top 20 I don't think that the Chart predictors are taking in to account the Physical sales of the new Beatles song. They take into account everything. I posted here they sold around 25K digital sales on Thursday based on its UK chart sales, but it only did 16K in the US, so it seems they are much more UK-heavy than Adele is. Its physical sales are opaque though, especially compared to other songs' physical releases (which are usually trackable entirely via the store). This one was not tracked by anyone properly + they're selling them in many different stores worldwide, making it harder. Its UK chart units are currently 40K in 3 days, which I estimate must include close to 15K physical sales for its chart based on its other metrics - that means its US physicals could be 30K or something, idk tbh, they're intractable to predict right now |

Also, I see at Amazon, it reports the three vinyl listings available there as selling more than 8k. It don't see it being sold at Walmart and at Target, only in its CD version. |

Well, a top 15 peak is still exceptional for the band. for sure. It's impressive they achieved it with a brand new song and without the help of some huge current artists. Usually when an artist who was popular in the last century reaches the top 20 or 10 again, it's because of Xmas (AIWFCIY, RATCT, Last Xmas...), Halloween (Thriller), death (Prince, Whitney), TikTok (Dreams, RUTH) or with a feature (MJ with Justin T and Drake, Elton with Dua Lipa, Paul McCartney with Rihanna...). |
