Posting the Ice Spice video but I did end up listening to the original mainly this year (both are great though!)

I actually don't think I can forgive Billboard for this not making the year end :( Love Lizzy and just happy to see her get recognition!

I don't know how to explain it great, but there's something about this that feels relatable? I guess the sense of desire and playfulness in its sound just kind of hit me in a certain way. Even with a discography as strong as hers, this feels like her best work yet.

Truly devastating song... I think this recent record really demonstrated strong lyricism, and in Ice Cream Man you can really feel the emotions she was feeling when singing.

Ok I know this album maybe isn't on the same level as previous work, but I do think it's a great album still (and seeing Janelle in September made the album click even more). Such a great summer song.

I feel like anytime I hear the chorus of this I'm going to keep singing it in my head for the rest of the day. So so cool to see this blow up and I'm really rooting for it to make the year end.

We just saw this make the top 10 in the year end rankdown! Such an iconic lead single for this era; that bridge HITS.

To the surprise of no one, a collab between SG Lewis, Channel Tres and Charlotte Day Wilson SLAPS. between the awesome vocals and the killer production, this was a hit for me.

Super Mario Galaxy-esque beat ngl... What a jam omg.

Since August 2022 this song has been on repeat. Truly insane how infectious this is - the production just hits in every way and I feel like this showcases some of her strongest vocals ever especially in the last minute or so (though you can look at most of her songs for strong vocals lol).

It took me a while to fully get behind Ethel Cain but I'm glad I did. This is truly a standout track from last year, I love the vocal echo effect as it really makes this song hit hard.

I've said it before but this has honestly become one of my favorites from Dua, at least I'd say it's one of her best year end hits. I know people think of it as her on autopilot or something but honestly it feels a bit more well crafted than some of her FN hits.

Probably my 2nd favorite song on this record after Bad Habit, such a jam!

"bewitched" is such a good word to describe this song; her music in general (but especially this song) really captures the feelings of warmth and comfort in your life, as well as the magic of falling in love with someone. This is also just essential music for the winter - the comfort of being at home with a candle going and watching the snow fall is what I associate this with the most.

I think what stuck with me the most from this song is the production, idk it just is a jam!

This kind of kept creeping up on me through the year, I never was at a point of listening to it nonstop in a short amount of time but it never really left my rotation either which is why it ended up so high.

This started charting late 2022 into the beginning of 2023, but the Kendrick Lamar remix helped this rechart (play count is combined here). I can't fully decide if I prefer the original or the remix more, but both go hard.

I knew it would be difficult to follow up Heaven To A Tortured Mind, but Yves really pulled through with a great album. Meteora Blues was one of my top discoveries from this album, love how the chorus really picks up.

It took some time for this to really grow on me, but I felt myself continuing to come back to it at the beginning of the year. The guitarwork makes this sound so ominous, idk why but I feel like I'd hear it in some sad indie film lol.

BABY KEEP HEATING ME UP OH NO DON'T YOU GO COOL ME DOWN easily my favorite song on this album.

When it comes to psychedelic music, George Clanton crushes it. Absolute banger track.

Beyoncé ate so hard on this oh my lord... PURE/HONEY is in my top 5 from the album. I've probably watched this part of the Renaissance World Tour like 100 times on Youtube because the dancer/vogue interlude EATS!

I want to say I first listened to this because Portraits of Tracy appeared in STM. This whole album is really great.

TLT is going down as one of her best songs imo... This gives me a sense of nostalgia for something but idk what.

We started last set with Victoria and we do the same here! I couldn't find a great video of this version but this'll do. This is one of the best interludes I've ever heard so it was nice to get a slightly more full version of it this year.
