Tkay Maidza making industrial hip hop songs is such a blessing.

Saw Shygirl in concert back in April and had this on repeat after that. This production is so so good.

I believe this was a zippy madness pick? Insane lyrics but it works so well with this banger production.

I don't listen to K-Pop often but this is honestly one of my favorites I've heard in the genre (and favorites from NewJeans). That production does things to my brain.

Is this kind of more "basic" for her standards? Yes. Did I still eat it up? Yes. Am I desperate for her next era? Absolutely. I will say that her vocals though especially toward the end are so damn good.

Truly insane song, especially the second half with how it kinda just descends into chaos. This whole album is so good to listen to especially if you partake in certain activities...

Time to see what made my top 10!
Didn't really realize that Victoria had placed at 10, 20, and 30 lol. Anyways, this is pretty much my favorite song on Jaguar II, it's so damn good and that Kaytranada production really eats.

No surprise that my favorite track on this album was the one with Magdalena Bay's production help. This slaps!

Here's a song that is pretty unknown unless you sent for STM this year. I first heard one of her other songs at one point and then found this because it was a new release. Love when the chorus comes in, idk it just clicks.

So happy we got new Kelela music this year, I loved Happy Ending already and then Contact came in and has become my favorite from the album.

Thanks to π‘πππππ€ for sending this in STM Lovegod is such a beautiful and magical song, it's one of those songs that transports you to a different reality. I always associate this with "running through a magic forest" vibes lol

I love when songs incorporate multiple genres in such a unique way. The mix of hip hop/r&b with the bhangra influence has made this a clear standout of the last 2 years.

2023 was truly SZA's year, SOS is such a great album and I'm glad it got as much success as it has. I remember the day when SOS dropped, it's probably the only album I listened to that day as I had it on repeat. There were several standouts from the album, but the song that clicked the most for me was also the one that became the biggest hit (at least as of now!)

This was kind of a sleeper hit for me (as you can see by the # of weeks) but once it hit, it hit. I was vibing hard with this in late spring/early summer as this is such a good "driving with the windows down while the sun is setting" song. Also the transition from this to Virgo's Groove is one of the best transitions I've ever heard ngl.

Un x100to came out not long before my family trip to Spain this year so I kind of associate this with that trip now and the good memories made since my siblings and I were obsessed. There's something so comforting about this song? Idk how to explain it.

And now... the biggest song of 2023 on the wripwrap top 75! It took a sec for this to grow as much as it did, though it *really* hit during the summer since my friends and I were hooked! My friends and I had a little tradition we'd do when "always an angel, never a god" came on so again this is another song that kind of has special memories associated with it.
Just want to say thank you to everyone who followed along with this countdown, I always enjoy sharing the music that made an impact for me! I do want to host another personal chart rankdown like I did last year, I'll probably give it a bit of time for WTM to get closer to finishing though before opening. Be on the lookout for that :)

I saw your entry for Kali "Endlessly" - love it!
I also saw two others on your list that made mine.
Nilufer Yanya "anotherlife": Such a great song! What a mood setter.
Louis Cole "Park Your Car": My son actually got me into him. I'm going to see Louis perform live in March!
