I still find this highly overhated. Is it a good comeback? Not really. Still, Blink-182 have always had lyrics close to this cringy. They just went a little overboard here, presumably compensating for the comeback thing. The instrumental even sounds good at parts!

Can't help but think there's a lot of box-checking going on with some Run Away to Mars tankers. Yeah it's sappy and purple with an overly wistful vocalist, and I know how annoying that can be sometimes, but it's done up to the point where I think that's the intended vibe. It's theater, y'know? I accept the silly metaphor and let the longing vibes take me.
