Katy Perry - "Woman's World" out July 11th!

Are we seriously not going to get another single? The album has been out since April and in this day and age, pop singles tend to be released in quicker succession than this.

I was thinking the same thing. It’s time to move on to #2 as I think ‘Fortnight’ is finally done at pop. ICDIWABH is the obvious next choice to me based on public perception, but I’d be happy with MBOBHFT and DB as stated on the last page. Although there’s a rumour that WAOLOM has gotten a video which is…a choice!

"Who's Afraid of Little Old Me?" is one of my favorites from the album so if those rumors are true, I would be very happy.

They need a Karma like push with a remix. Hopefully a good one unlike Karma lol. These songs have been streamed too much already.
I don't think going back to a prerelease lead single would be the worst for her. She burns a lot of demand when the album drops, so single #2 with the album would be ideal after single #1 has done it's thing. Granted if she had dropped Fortnight pre-album I don't think it would have had much in terms of legs... but assuming she cooks something more radio friendly next time, it would work.

Honestly right now she'd be wise to get Sabrina on... literally any track. ICDWABH maybe.

Fortnight just seemingly peaked on radio, so we should hopefully hear of the next single soon. ICDWABH f/ Sabrina would work well. The song also would benefit greatly from dance remixes by actual DJs that omit Jack's drop for... better ones. This one by TWINSICK, for example (technically a mashup, but still a good example).

Uhhh, they idea of a remix that's actually a remix and not just a feature added is exciting since a huge part of my issues with most of TTPD is the muted and boring production choices.

I want both! A video for waolom, like they did for bejeweled, and then full single treatment for icdiwabh or down bad…

MBOBHFT is the hit of the album and I don’t get how it seems like others aren’t seeing it. 1000000000000000000000000000000%

Honestly what use is a single right now, she’s ubiquitous anyway and the album is selling truckloads without one.

There's little chance most of these tracks reach those spots again without a remix anyways. Honestly I'd be way more interested in her giving us a couple Reputation TV videos a la RED TV. The visual potential of that album is way above anything on TTPD.

I went browsing around the rest of the new collection (PS. WHERE is the You’re Losing Me/Maroon variant of TTPD miss ma’am?!?!?) and…why does she insist on the cool design being on the BACK of the shirt? You’d think it would be on the front, but no, the front has to be boring and plain and make someone wonder why I spent a rent payment’s amount on it. (I did not and have not yet bought anything from this era’s merch btw. But I think you know what I mean.) Like for the Manuscript Hoodie I get it, it makes sense for that design to be on the back. But the Alchemy tee, the I Love You, It’s Ruining My Life tees, etc. need to have their designs on the front.

However, as someone with a rather large and long full beard such as myself, I appreciate that the bigger designs are on the back so they are not obscured by my choice of facial hair. Lol I can’t see myself forking over that much for anything in her store unless it’s music related though. (Pssssst, Blondie…. We want The Anthology 4 disc vinyl…)

Pretty confident single #2 needs to be “Down Bad.” However, there’s one challenger and it’s a shame it’s not on the setlist. Think of the organic hits lately among Hozier, Bensoon Boone, and hell even Chappel Roan. Go with the rockier, lyrically edgy pop song with the wave-your-beers-in-the-air-and-sing-a-long chorus: Guilty As Sin?

I fear that song is destined to be the Getaway Car / Cruel Summer / August of the album. A deep cut only the Swifties know and love.

What if Taylor releases an EP (working title “The Deepest Cuts”) with reworked versions of her album gems and releases them as singles with MVs. 6 songs, which ones are you choosing?

Those London N1 surprise songs were UNHINGED. The Black Dog x Come Back... Be Here x Maroon should have happened to ME!

Selling but not streaming- the highest charting track is at #41 on AM and #19 on Spotify. The casual streamers are not there for this particular album. That's why moving on from TTPD to the TVs as soon as possible is the best option.

She has to have a second single off TTPD. So many choices here but they need to pick one and go with it.

That's why moving on from TTPD to the TVs as soon as possible is the best option. Lol. The album has performed exceptionally well both in sales and streaming, especially considering it's a particularly competitive market ATM comparatively. It's nearing 5 million SPS and has broken streaming records not only in its opening week, but in its first few months of release (it's the fastest album to hit 3.5 billion streams in Spotify history and is already the 2nd most-streamed album of 2024). Let's not be hyperbolic. It would be irrational to move on from the album already, especially when she'll be back in the US touring before long which will only bolster sales and single performance even further. This album is easily looking at 6, possibly 7 million SPS in the end. These kinds of exaggerative/ridiculous posts just make me laugh (though you've been trying to actively downplay the success of TTPD and the album itself generally for quite a while now, so guess I shouldn't be surprised).

I really thought they'd push Track 13 for her 13th No. 1. It might be a stretch. It'd require building up about 4-6 weeks of airplay, assume steaming stays steady, a video and single variations. ICDIWABH's can-do theme would be diluted with a feature.

In Europe, the tour has mainly boosted her older songs. Cruel Summer is the second most streamed in the UK for instance, and Lover is back in top ten on album chart there.

Tortured Poets broke personal records in its first few months out in the UK as well. Fact is, t's doing great across the board. You can dislike the quality of the album all you like, but it doesn't change the facts. Even if it were true the tour helped older music "more", it still benefits her new music as well and that was the whole point.
