New poll series to determine how aligned Pulse is with the Recording Academy. Let's start with this year.
Which album do you think should have won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. You're not necessarily voting for your favourite, but the album that feels right to you as the winner of this award.

I think they made the right choice. I never thought in a million years that Taylor would become more popular than she was during 1989 but damn did she prove me wrong lol

naaaaaaah. Grammys are not about impact and popularity (right?), you have Billboard and Spotify charts for that - or if you really want an awards show, BBMAs. If that's the case, Jon Batiste wouldn't stand a chance against SOUR and Planet Her.
SOS deserved this one.

No, it should have been SOS by SZA.

Yes. SOS is good though (But certainly not this perfect and flawless album the internet wants to gaslight people into thinking it is)

I think they made the right choice. My second pick would be Lana Del Rey.

Nah, it's a fairly uninspired album, even by Taylor's standards. SZA for the win.
Also, "Taylor had such a huge year" isn't good reasoning. Taylor is huge every single time she releases something, that's not the standard for this award. If that's the case, then the Grammys need to introduce a commercial impact award similar to the Golden Globes.

It should've been SOS but Did you know.. and The Record would also be good picks. However, knowing their criteria, Midnights isn't one of the worst possible winners.

SZA would have been the best choice with Miley second.

Midnights isnβt an egregious winner, but the SZA, Olivia, and boygenius albums are all more interesting. Iβd have voted for SOS.

I think they made the right pick. If not Taylor here, SZA for sure.
