Honestly if it wasn't Beyoncé it wouldn't even be in the conversation for awards whatsoever. She was breaking into a new genre and did not put the work into it. By comparison Post was kinda everywhere trying to promote his album. (To be fair I think all the Post nods are due to a Morgan Wallen #1 hit so he didn't really fare that well either with his actual album)

I'm not bummed or surprised at the CMA snub although I feel like Texas Hold Em should be nominated. As a member of the Hive (Beyonce is my #1), I was really disappointed with how this album rollout was handled. Something tells me it had to do with the switch from "Beyince" to "Cowboy Carter". Just so much wasted potential. We didn't even necessarily need a tour but give some of these songs - some of the best of her career - the proper push. I will go to the grave furious that "Bodyguard" was done this dirty. Such potential to have been a big summer smash. Just truly confusing and disappointing. Girl, we get it - you've been working your butt off since you were a teen - but this was such a letdown.

This type of thing is the real reward; Cowboy Carter made a true impact.

The album has been too successful. I think it’s a strong argument to prove that of course bigotry and bias came into play here.

Yeah, Bodyguard could’ve been so massive over summer, especially if she actually pushed THE in spring so that it didn’t die down as quickly and kept the huge momentum rolling. Then imagine how perfectly set up Levii’s Jeans would be to smash right about now as the third single. Especially with Post’s entry into the country scene being fully successful now. Then maybe take a chance on SHB to cap off the era, with Shaboozey also being such a huge new name now too and the song being a career highlight for her with crazy viral and meme potential. The stars literally aligned perfectly for this to be THE career defining era for her, as I mentioned. She just had to try. None of that even mentioning how there were also songs on the album that sounded like they could have a chance on country radio too with a proper push, like Protector and Alligator Tears. It really does bother me, also as someone who’s Hive. Really do expect more if she’s going to put out an album with so much potential.

Do we know why she only does print interviews now? Should we assume it's her team answering these questions?

Do we know why she only does print interviews now? Should we assume it's her team answering these questions? She stopped doing sit down interviews over a decade ago. She micromanages her image and doesn't like to reveal too much. She wants people to focus on the music and not have it be all about her personal life. And if she has something personal to say, she'll put it in the music. LOL at her lying about the visuals. Ma'am, we know they exist. Just say you scrapped them. Probably sitting in the vault next to the Formation World Tour DVD.

I assume they just send her the questions and she (or her team) sends them back the answers after carefully thinking how to answer each of them.

I believe the "Beyoncé faked her pregnancy" headlines was her final straw. Can't say I blame her.
I also believe it's her and only her responding via e-mail from her Macbook. haaaaaa!

She didn't deny the existence of visuals, per se, she just stated she chose to release these two albums without accompanying visuals. I still think we'll get act iii and then some kind of visual masterpiece afterward to celebrate the expansive history of Black music and musicians when all is said and done.

I remember there was a rumor a while back (some time after the visuals were teased but nothing came of it) that she shopped the visuals around to various streaming services and none of them gave her an offer she liked. I'm more inclined to believe that then her wanting to let the music speak for itself. If we do get the visuals, it will probably be when some streaming service is finally willing to fork over enough cash but I'm not holding my breath since the Renaissance tour movie has yet to be available on streaming. Hopefully some company will eventually be interested by the time act iii comes out. Perhaps three sets of visuals will sweeten the deal and some company will finally bite.

Wasn't there a rumor that some film production people who worked on the MCU were involved in the Renaissance visuals?

I refuse to believe we didn’t get Renaissance visuals bc no streaming service offered her enough money. Honestly, I’d be PISSED at her if that is the case. Seems way more likely to me she didn’t like the direction and by the time she wanted to do a total overhaul they had exhausted way too much of the era’s budget to go back and redo it.
I’m on board with the idea she will do something visual after act iii for the whole project. I don’t think it’s possible she’s gonna do a 3+ hr epic movie encompassing ALL of the music, but then again if she did it would be the most epic flex of all time in the industry and everyone would have to shut up forever with the dragging lol.

I think the plan was to deliver visuals but she hurt her knee during the process which messed everything up. She scrapped and used what she had as tour visuals. I don't think we'll ever get the visuals. What I do wish we'd get is the damn Renaissance Tour movie. I'd be happy with that but put it out! What is going on!?

Considering she revamped the art of the "visual album" in the 21st century, I will be incredibly disappointed if we get zero by the end of the trilogy.

She pulled through over time but I can see her putting the visuals to the side to put on a good show with a healing knee.

Personally I didn't understand all the complaints about her lack of CMA nominations. I LOVED the album, but Cowboy Carter simply wasn't a huge country album. Commercially it was a flash in the pan that primarily performed well off her name and already well-established, dedicated fanbase. At the end of the day, it came off as the mere result of a point she felt she needed to prove moreso than a full on genuine passion project and country audiences are pretty preceptive. Yes it was absolutely a country album, but genre alone, even quality alone isn't enough to elicit awards. None of the songs were successful with country radio or country audiences and it was essentially treated like a Beyonce album with a country flair. It might have faired better had she actually played to the country crowd a bit more. With Beyonce in particular, I feel like sometimes her fans can come across as super entitled, like she should be nominated and awarded for everything she's eligible for, when that's absurd as no artist alive or dead is treated this way and no one should have expectations like that. Also what door did she open with Cowboy Carter exactly? She wasn't the first black female artist to release a country album? What door am I missing, genuinely asking? lol
Meanwhile, I'm SOOOO ready for another pop-infused Beyonce album again as it's been too damn long and I NEED it. I loved Lemonade, Cowboy Carter, but my favorites are self-titled and B'Day. I wanna see her dominate the pop world again even if just for one release!! I don't even need a full pop album or anything like that, just want something, even if just a few songs, with some pop infused in there somewhere. lol

What door am I missing, genuinely asking? lol All the attention to the black country artists she highlighted. They all saw streaming increases. Shaboozey took advantage of the attention and had his breakthrough moment and one of the biggest songs of the year. That's why he directly credits her for opening the door, "A Bar Song" wouldn't even be a thing.

Levi’s is teasing some kind of collab with her on social. If this isn’t teasing some kind of proper full-blown promo-laden single treatment for LJ so it can finally be the smash it was always destined to be, istg Bey….
