She really spread those noms! Honestly, outside of the "Spaghetti" nom, I'm good with all of them. Watch her not win a single one, lmao. I feel like this is a strong possibility. I don't see her taking any country nominations, so her best bet is Pop solo and Pop Group. I think the big three is too stacked with Billie being the favorite (in my mind) to take them. Also, I'm still salty that II Hands II Heaven was not submitted to the R&B categories. THAT might have been an easy win for her. |

I legitimately think the 1-2-3 punch of II Hands through SHB are the best 3 songs she’s ever made. But especially II Hands. So it’s beyond disappointing they’re paid dust despite the album’s record noms. But you can’t nominate something never submitted for consideration…

Had two friends who checked out the album on release and didn’t really care for it tell me they’re obsessed with bodyguard now. Truly a missed mega smash. I actually think it would have been CIL/SL/Irreplaceable huge for her with a full-steam push after THE.

In a more ideal world, "Bodyguard" would have gone viral like "Cuff It" did (imagine if they had gone through with "Church Girl" instead, lol) so that she/her team would have gotten the hint that it should have been the follow-up single. Even though it was already the obvious choice to everyone but them.

But would something as short as a halftime show count? As for the setlist, Texas Hold 'Em is a given (it'd be nice if she performed the Pony Up remix) but I want the setlist to at least include Bodyguard and Ya Ya. Since the article mentioned that she is expected to bring special guests, I would prefer that she perform Sweet*Honey*Buckiin' out of all the collabs on the album. I would also really want Ameriican Requiem but I'm not sure if it would necessarily fit a halftime show. |
