I can definitely see a 400k opening for act II, IF they go all in on vinyls this time. I hope the pre-order starts soon.

I heard it might be called Act II: Enlightenment and then what? act III: the industrial age?

I’m still not sold Act III will be rock. I could very much see country as the focus here but with some rock elements added in. They go hand in hand.

I’m still not sold Act III will be rock. I could very much see country as the focus here but with some rock elements added in. They go hand in hand. It could be very industrial electro rock album. I don’t know what other genre she’d do that would sell. She’s already done pop and R&B. Maybe a rap album but she’s kinda threaded that throughout her body of work.

I really hope Act 3 is a rock album paying homage and giving flowers to Tina Turner, Sister Rosetta Tharpe, etc.

As a resident Hive, I didn’t expect Texas Hold ‘Em to take off like this. The GP are here for it. It’s feeling very Single Ladies 2009. I hear it everywhere.

THE jumping 20 spots on country radio from 54 to 34 in it's 2nd week was NOT how I was expecting country radio to react to this. Pleasantly surprised - I hope it keeps it up.

I think if she does this album right, like I think she will, it will be her AOTY win. I just imagine Beyonce giving us a soulful/bluesy/country album with raw vocals/lyrics that really reflect her life story. I think "Texas Hold Em" is just right for radio and to get the ball rolling, but I think the strongest material is left unheard (maybe a Pasty Cline type ballad plz). Plus unlike with R, this album will have the hype of a huge #1 lead to help.

So happy for the #1 @ Hot 100. She really deserves that!

It’s so fun to watch her dominate and making history in her 27th year in the game. I’m so happy 👏🏾👏🏾

People have discounted her for so long, that she's no longer a hitmaker, that she's just a legacy artist now...and then she blows it out of the water again.

Not news, but I just learned "Cuff It" is her longest-lasting song on the Hot 100 which is WILD given her star power and how long she's been in the game.
Here's all of her songs + DC's that lasted for over 6 months. I excluded "Perfect" with Ed Sheeran because Billboard's database credits her for the whole run when I think the solo version was the main reason it lasted forever. I don't think radio played the "Perfect Duet" for 57 weeks.
Beyoncé + DC Cuff It - 35 weeks No, No, No - 35 weeks Telephone - 33 weeks Jumpin' Jumpin' - 32 weeks Say My Name - 32 weeks Halo - 31 weeks Irreplaceable - 30 weeks Mi Gente - 30 weeks [not sure if this is all Beyoncé] Sweet Dreams - 29 weeks Baby Boy - 29 weeks Check On It - 28 weeks Savage - 28 weeks [not sure if this is all Beyoncé] Independent Women Part 1 - 28 weeks Crazy In Love - 27 weeks Single Ladies - 27 weeks
EDIT: Interestingly, every Destiny's Child single spent at least 20 weeks on the Hot 100, except "Bootylicious" and "Girl" that were right behind at 19 weeks each.

It doesn't feel that different than the lead up to Act I. "Break My Soul" was doing its thing on radio and streaming and there was no promotion or even appearance by her until we saw photos from the Billboard 200 #1 party.

Still waiting on the album title. If keeping with the "r" theme, wouldn't mind it being called something like 'RODEO'.

I would assume it's just part of the Renaissance trilogy and won't get a proper title, but who knows, it's Beyonce!
I haven't revisited either single since release week, but I have seen a lot of memes of people starting the song and immediately turning it off. Of course, that's just social media social media'ing, but still.

It doesn't feel that different than the lead up to Act I. "Break My Soul" was doing its thing on radio and streaming and there was no promotion or even appearance by her until we saw photos from the Billboard 200 #1 party. The only difference is she had physical copies of the album ready. There was vinyl and CDs up for pre-order. I am hoping they’ll be announced soon. Another gorgeous box set would be heaven. The quality of that set for the price was well worth it. And it definitely helped out with numbers, even though this time I think streaming might be even stronger. There’s a huge curiosity factor here (especially for the people that will be “hate-streaming” for reasons we don’t need to discuss) and she has a huge hit yet again without a visual. Just dropping #1s that are hitting hard based on merit and the power of her versatility. No gimmicks.

"COWBOY CARTER" is a very unserious name lol but I continue to jam tf out to "Texas Hold 'Em" and feel like it's the "Flowers" of this year in that practically everyone likes it and I'm hearing it everywhere, so looking forward to this album more than I expected to initially and wouldn't be surprised if it connects with me more than Renaissance.

I loved that fic about "Act I: Renaissance" >>>> "Act II: Enlightenment", but then we got a "Cowboy Carter" title lol Anyway, an enlightenment concept wouldn't fit with a country album.

Cowboy Carter, lol. Ridiculous but cute. Gotta be honest, still not feeling "Texas Hold Em." But "16 Carriages" has me optimistic I'll like the more serious side of the album.

So she's sampling Cowboy Casanova instead of Before He Cheats.

The limited edition physicals include a “bonus” track 🤔
