Wow, this is really good. Was only half-listening casually first listen and that first chorus still hit me hard. The build up to it and then delivery is phenomenal. Though it makes the second half feel a bit weak by comparison. It’s good enough though that I can even forgive the fact that the ridiculous tik tok length is totally unjustified and there’s very clearly a missing final chorus here.

This could be bigger than BT I think. I’d say he is the most interesting new male “pop” star in ages, we rarely get those anymore. He really has a knack for using his voice to turn a hook into a much more memorable one. The scream-sing thing seems to be what he’s making his trademark, and it surprisingly works for me. Though much better on this where he doesn’t overdo it (he needs to be careful of that). Kinda interested now if this era is gonna be the male equivalent of Olivia’s Sour with him…
