Local Natives is gearing up to release new music very soon. They've posted three of (presumably) five teasers to say "but I'll wait for you", which I believe may be the next album title.

Very likely going to Alt as well. I’d be shocked if they didn’t try at least.

Neither of the singles from the last album went to Alt. They haven't tried since "Dark Days" which I think only went to Alt because "When Am I Gonna Lose You" went top 10 (and that wasn't even sent to Alt until months after it was charting on Triple A).

A fascinating and necessary discussion you folks just opened - why some records and artists are no longer an automatic for a full alt radio campaign - some are choosing just AAA. I can tell you from first hand experience that it’s about the base cost of a full committed alternative radio campaign. Specifically the presence of stations where there is a “toll” for the add. And additional “tolls” for increases. It is outrageously expensive, especially if it’s a long protracted project. AAA has a far smaller base cost for a radio campaign.
The cost of a radio campaign is discouraging many independent labels and even majors. It’s a real problem with no easy solution

Local Natives announced today that this album era and tour will be the last with one of their founding members Kelcey (one of the lead vocalists). :(

They’re one of my fav labels ever and I’m sad they haven’t appeared on alternative for any of their artists Warp hasn't charted much on AAA either tbf, their only recent charter there in recent years was Echolalia by Yves Tumor, and that didn't even make Billboard.

Dang :( I will forever cherish that play of God is a Circle on 91X… But yeah true I haven’t seen much warp action on stations I follow, the current I think only played Yves
