According to the new Happens radio site,Β this is the next radio single from Ohio Players and it ships to Alternative radio on April 5, 2024. It has not been released yet. Also interesting to note that according to the album's Wiki page, this has a Noel Gallagher writing credit.

FYI, the ship date is basically the release date, so this means that it's going to be out this Friday alongside the album and it will probably be the focus track on streaming services too.

Looks like it'll outperform "It Ain't Over" at least.

Looks like it'll outperform "It Ain't Over" at least. That's too bad, "It Ain't Over" was the superior song.

On another note, the band did a pretty funny promo for their latest album covering the reviews off it, both the bad and the good. As for this song, it's good but still far from the best stuff I've heard from them. The last charter I loved from them was "Shine a Little Light". ("Crawling Kingsnake"'s good too, but it doesn't have as much replay value for me) Wonder if their general popularity is on the decline with the album becoming their lowest charting album on the Billboard 200 (debuting at #26, breaking a top 10 streak they started since Brothers) since Magic Potion. Still interested in whatever Auerbach is intending to produce for other artists under his Easy Eye Sound imprint, but he's not doing that much for me with his duo right now, unfortunately, as the singles they've released since are generally not as interesting as during their early 2010s popularity prime. (still need to hear their pre-Brothers material, but it's probably better than these recent songs)

To be honest, at first I didn't really like this song. But now it has grown on me and I am loving it, "The joy, the pain..."
