such a power move of her to make her most radio ready song in 3 1/2 years so explicitly queer, releasing this a couple weeks pre-pride month was really smart too. idk if this'll be *massive* but i do think it'll have a solid, therefore i am-esque chart run and that's still a big hit in my book

Oh wow, wasnβt expecting it to debut that high. I was thinking somewhere around #35.
Also, I showed one of my friends the music video for it yesterday and while they said they liked the song, their opinion on the mv was more mixed.

Iβm not even a huge fan, but there is something about this that feels massive to me, so iβm not surprised it debuted so high. I feel like this has the potential to be the THE song of the summer.

But stuff like the Barbie song is never gonna go on repeat that much for me, so I'm glad we have a few more "catchy" songs this time. The title track is the only one I still have on strong rotation on my Spotify from her last album, while like half of When We All Fall Asleep still slaps for me. |

I didnt love this at first but now Iβm lovinggg it. And I agree with others when they say it was the perfect first single and perfect timing for it to be released. :) Canβt wait for the summer of Billie.

Yeah this is Billie's most obvious 'single' to me in awhile. It gives me heavy Modest Mouse vibes ("Tiny Cities Made of Ashes" anyone?), and I love them so that's definitely fine by me. I also get the comparison to "bad guy" just because the cadence of the vocal is similar in spots.
