If the countdown on the band's website is any indication, the song should be coming out on Friday. Until then, they've been performing this song live for months.
Impacting AAA on Monday, per JBE.

This is very, very good, as is typical for a Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats lead single. Honestly, it's a better The Head And The Heart song than that band has managed in quite some time, but it has the typical neo-soul flourishes of The Night Sweats nevertheless. I could see this doing damage on Alt if it's pushed there.

I might need some time for it to grow on me more, but I think for the first time this year, a larger format name brings a leadoff that is actually worth a damn.

Good for them. They’re my favorite band right now that’s still relevant, and the way they’re played on The Spectrum, you’d think they were keeping AAA alive.
I like seeing them take on some indie folk, and I think this could outperform anything off The Future.

I think this could outperform anything off The Future. I can't see this doing as well as "Survivor" at the very least. It's not as uptempo and there's no proper chorus - these two reasons are why I think won't do much at Alternative. Also, we're not sure how long Hozier would be at #1. I can see this hitting #1 seeing how devoted the format is to him, but compared to the six weeks Survivor spent at the top, I do not see this lasting as long.

Still don't think it's gonna do much here.

Top 50 on Alternative: 55 50 NATHANIEL RATELIFF/NIGHTSWEATS Heartless 128 79 49 0.086 Still don't think it's gonna do much here. I've looked into it and I don't think Stax/Concord is officially pushing this to Alt. It's getting curiosity adds because Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats have been a consistent presence on Alt for close to a decade at this point, but there's no indication of any marketing of this single. Stylistically, this has the most similarities to a typical 2nd radio single by Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats. More experimental, slower, reflective, less obvious hooks. That's because Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats' typical lead singles usually shoot to the top of AAA in a month or less, forcing Concord to market a split single by pushing the original single to Alt while sending this slower-paced 2nd single to AAA to keep that format happy before sending a unified 3rd single to both Alt and AAA. It feels like to me that Stax/Concord got tired of that strategy and sent what's normally the AAA-exclusive 2nd single as the lead radio single, but still keeping it exclusive to AAA. I suspect they're getting the rapid rise and fall of the typical lead single to AAA out of the way so the 2nd and 3rd singles can be pushed concurrently to Alt and AAA (and Active if they feel like it).
