First extra for today was the debut single by this supergroup formed by Raphael Saadiq (from Tony! Toni! Toné!), Dawn Robinson (from En Vogue), and Ali Shaheed Muhammad (from A Tribe Called Quest). It peaked at #5 on the R&B chart and #36 on the Hot 100, and received a Grammy nomination for Best R&B Vocal Performance By a Duo Or Group.
Dance Tonight - Lucy Pearl
Next, the title track to his sophomore album. It peaked at #2 R&B and #29 on the Hot 100. Mariah Carey later sampled it in her song "I Don't".
