Post Malone & Morgan Wallen easily have the week's largest song debut with "I Had Some Help" (Mercury/Republic), which moved 600k units in its first day. First-day sales and streams suggest full week totals north of 50k downloads and 70m plays. I dont really understand what 600k units in first day means there? If it is correct this song has 40-50m streams in Amazon Music and 15-20m in Apple on Friday or what?

It has since been corrected to projected 600k units in the opening week.

It would be hysterical if TTPD blocked Billie next week too.

It would be hysterical if TTPD blocked Billie next week too. It's definitely going to be close. I think Billie's pure sales will be higher than HTE this time around but with 10 tracks, that limits the potential streaming highs that WWAFA got, unless people repeatedly listen to the album like SOUR and it's 11 tracks did. I think Billie will pull out the #1 but Taylor won't be too far behind I assume.

I think Billie will have no problem scoring #1.

I think Billie will have no problem scoring #1. That's true. I feel like Your Power/Lost Cause/NDA killed the hype of that album despite the songs being good. Between that little hate train she got and the long period of time between the announcement and release, I think that hampered the release of that album. I do think in the long run the album was a success, seeing how the title track is one of her biggest hits and all of the songs being above or close to 100m streams on Spotify.

Midnights fifth week was 177k, and TTPD is fizzling out quicker than it (both did 299k third week, but TTPD had a new CD version released that week). Taylor would have to have some new version or something that week for it to be close. Billie already has over 100k+ pure sales from pre-orders alone. I highly doubt she does less than 200K.

TTPD's new CD variant hasn't counted yet. It's supposed to ship on or before May 31. We'll see if she ships it out next week to maybe get the #1. Midnights' third week did have Anti-Hero's 327k sales week TEA factored in, which likely helped with its overall units for the week.

It’s declining at a quicker rate than Midnights, so if that did 177k fifth week then TTPD isn’t likely to do anything outside that realm *unless* she ships or drops new physicals that week.

Taylor Swift’s THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT (Republic) will spend a fourth week at #1, surpassing 3.5m in YTD activity. Gunna’s One of Wun (Young Stoner Life), which beats our initial estimate, is expected to open at #2. And Kendrick Lamar could see two of his albums in this week’s Top 20 as DAMN. and good kid, m.A.A.d city (TDE/Aftermath/Interscope) continue trending upward.
Now, if you'll excuse us, we're overdue for our midday nap.

Midnights benefited from a ton of Christmas present sales which TTPD won't have so it's pure sales shouldn't track as well as Midnights. However, TTPD's streaming is still a good bit above Midnights.

However, TTPD's streaming is still a good bit above Midnights. I mean, it has 31 tracks after all vs Midnights' 19-20.

What’s out the week after Billie? Twenty One Pilots. Should also do decent sales.

^Agreed. Streaming for TTPD has held up well this week. It could go down to how to Billie's new album sells.

I'm not sure either about 21 pilots. It seems their buzz has kinda cooled and there doesn't seem to be much promotion or interest at the moment

However, TTPD's streaming is still a good bit above Midnights. I mean, it has 31 tracks after all vs Midnights' 19-20. Cowboy Carter is doing less than half of Eternal Sunshine's streaming numbers despite double the number of tracks and a bigger debut. Longer tracklists do not guarantee larger streams in the long run. for week 3, midnights was during 300K with 181K streaming units. TTPD is 285K with 233 K SEA. It's streaming is holding up much better but it just didn't have the ridiclous track sales of midnight's week 3. for week 4, midnights was at 198K with 141 SEA. TTPD's week 4 is tracking significantly above that.

Did the new Taylor signed albums ship yet? She should ship the But Daddy variants next week.

^ Both the new variant and signed albums said they'd ship "on or before May 31" so she could probably block Billie if she wanted to. I don't think either has shipped yet as I haven't seen any posts about people receiving them.

Eleven tracks really makes a difference in Taylor's case.

As shown by Beyonce if the tracks don't click, more tracks do not guarantee more streams. Swifties like all tracks so of course streams are spread out . If there were less tracks, the remaining tracks would likely being getting more streams just like Eteranal Sunshine is outstreaming CC.
