Hope this does well! Mostly cause i don’t want this guy to be a one-hit wonder and this song is just as great as Lose Control is.

I’d been wondering if the reason they were taking their time to promote this, was Hozier’s Too Sweet blowing up on radio. The Door and Too Sweet have a very similar sound so maybe they thought the latter would take attention away from the former. Now that Too Sweet seems about to peak, maybe pushing now was a better decision.

This also kind of reminds me of Fastball’s The Way, a song I really liked back in the day.

The lyrics to The Door are hard-hitting too. I think a lot of listeners will connect with it.

Perfect time for this push now that Lose Control is leaving the top 5 on pop making room the newer hits. Really looking forward to this ones run as I think it will be another sleeper hit for him on radio. Lose Control is making headway on urban, just topped r&b while about to enter the top 10 on rhythmic still gaining solid adds on rhythmic and urban as well. Always knew he’d blow up with that kind of talent but didn’t anticipate this kind of crossover success. Idt this will get the urban/r&b/rhythmic like LC though.
