Gaga was so hot at that time, I think she could've sent any track off The Fame to #1 tbh. Well, maybe not Brown Eyes.
OT: I think Sabrina has a real shot at a 5x #1 era if she picks the next single right. There's no sign of her momentum waning.

Oh yes Starstruck is dated as hell now, but none of The Fame sound like smash hits if released now. Totally of its time. Migrate by Mariah is another example of this. I can remember how much it screamed smash #1 back then, but it doesn’t sound anything like a hit in today’s climate. And agree on Marry You, a super obvious missed #1.

I listen maybe 20 minutes a day picking up my daughter from school during PM drive, and always hear one and sometimes two of those three songs (four, actually, since "Feather" pops up too) every day. |

Definitely late to the party, but I love this and can see why pop took it to #1. That chorus is such an earworm, and it was smart to only include it twice because it leaves you wanting more.

i am somewhat surprised this is holding up so well. it is my second favorite from the album behind Espresso though i think it is probably the least radio friendly of the songs charting.

One thing for sure helping Sabrina’s multiple simultaneous hits not cannibalizing each other (although will Taste hit no. 1 or not?) is the fact that each of her songs has a completely unique feel and sound and style. You can play 3 Sabrina songs in a row and it doesn’t feel repetitive. I don’t know how widely this applies to other artists.
