People talking about them not doing anything with this, but this shot up the top 50 once they added it to the TTH playlist which is just about the best promo a song can get in 2024. RWS used to be the 2nd most streamed behind GLB until they did that.

I reckon by the end of the month this will be officially pushed as the next single, ideally just as Good Luck, Babe peaks. It'll be interesting then if they try to push RWS or Pink Pony Club or if they'll move on to a new project. She's got so much momentum that it would almost be a shame to move on to new songs when her existing ones could have their opportunity to shine, but I imagine she's already had plans for her second album. We'll see!

This is probably one of the most interesting situations of a singles campaign for an artist.

From my understanding “Good Luck Babe” was the lead single to her upcoming era/album, and now “Hot To Go” being pushed is a single from her prior album so they’re sort of… rewinding with her?

It makes sense, HTG is a great song and has a ton of potential success. But it’s still funny and odd in a way. It’s like if Sabrina’s label pushed another single from her last album after dropping Espresso/Please.

It’s a fascinating rollout but this one just kind of happened, the people demanded it! GLB was released at a time where it looked like her debut had done what it was going to do,and she was about to go on tour, etc. It is lucrative for a new artist to keep releasing but the backpedaling of her album connecting is so unique. It’s sort of like a Lizzo situation but not really.

Surely this has happened in the past in some comparable way? Didn’t Sheryl Crow release like 5 singles from her debut before All I Wanna Do finally got it off the ground?

She has so many great songs on her debut. It's honestly one of the best debut albums I've heard. Definitely probably the most interested I've been in a new female artist since Billie! She's going to be massive and I just know she's gonna keep delivering after hearing "GLB". I desperately want "Casual" to hit big after this (it feels underappreciated).
