Honestly unless it somehow went viral on streaming platforms it was never going to be a radio hit. It's very unmemorable for a comeback/lead single.

I'm kinda worried about her album. The last one wasn't radio-ready either but it had a clear direction and worked well as a full project. Not sure I get the same vibe so far from the two songs we've gotten.

Sampling is fun when it's a little snippet of another song or, if you're going to take an entire chorus, put it into an entirely new context musically. This honestly feels so lazy just taking the whole chorus because you couldn't come up with a better one. Plus, the rest of the song isn't strong enough. I've liked many Halsey songs over the years and I still find her 'downfall' a bit confusing. But this song is so weak...and I love Britney's "Lucky"
