The "Love when you call me a star, you let me down in the dark" part sounds just like the pre-chorus to "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" by Leo Sayer. It's really cool actually.

Every second of this song and video is sooo good and interesting, 10/10. She's the last to release a song from those big 2010s groups (1D, Fifth and Little), and it's the best one.

I need this to somehow debut at #1 in the UK, it is the best kind of bonkers and the video is incredible. I cannot get over the chair bouncing on beat across the floor (if you know you know - spoilers! Watch the video you'll love it)

I love this but but I wish she had a more distinctive voice. I don’t know that she can become a main pop girl without that. Or maybe that’s just because it sounds like 5 different girls are singing the song. This is definitely an interesting and intriguing introduction to Jade the solo artist.

As a reminder, Jade's track didn't have the support of any physical release (CDs, cassettes and/or vinyl) during the debut week, while the other three members had, so debuting in the Top 10 is still great in my opinion.
As a side note, it seems that they're playing their cards to make the track to stay for a while in the UK chart, hence the reason of different versions of the song to be released soon (For the Club is available now and looks like an acapella / acoustic is going to be out soon) and holding the physicals for later too.
Besides that, this has already been playlisted straight to the B-list on BBC Radio 1, as well as Capital FM.

I've always liked Jade, but I didn't expect this from her. If Girls Aloud had done one more album in the early 10s, something along these lines could have appeared there. Starting off with the classic 80s R&B melody and quiet storm styled production before sending it in every which way works extremely well. |
