Yup! He mentioned that Eminem's "Houdini" samples Steve Miller Band's "Abracadabra", which hit #3 in 1982. It did on R&R. On Billboard, which AT40 was actually using at the time, it hit #1. Par for the course, for the current era of AT40.

It’s actually a slow decline for ‘Cruel Summer’ by Taylor Swift from the last time it was at #1 on Oct 21 last year. A great run as you say though completing a full calendar year and with her latest project coming out this part April.

I’m suprised no one noticed that Eminem joins an exclusive club with this week’s entry of ‘Houdini’. He has to be the first male artist in a long time to chart in 4 straight decades (90’s, 00’s, 10’s, and 20’s). His first AT40 hit was ‘My Name Is’ in July of 1999. The last artists as far I am aware to achieve this feat was Britney Spears and Jennifer Lopez earlier this year with her latest ‘Can’t Get Enough’. Is Michael Jackson the latest male artist to have pulled this off with his hits coming in from 80’s 90’s 00’s and 10’s?
