OMG no one told me there was a remix with Robyn. Now the song is officially, like, for real. I would love an extended version that takes the verses from this remix and the main version and turns it into one song. I miss the chorus and melody but I love hearing one of my queens, Robyn.

Do we have an example of another artist that had a substantial break out for 2 ish years went niche and came back 10 years later even stronger and racking up hits again?

Do we have an example of another artist that had a substantial break out for 2 ish years went niche and came back 10 years later even stronger and racking up hits again? The closest one I can think of in the US is Kylie Minogue where she had some hits with her debut in 1988 and then came back with a successful album campaign 14 years later with Fever. Hopefully Charli's next project doesn't do what Body Language did in the US, but I lay some of that blame with Capitol Records.

Do we have an example of another artist that had a substantial break out for 2 ish years went niche and came back 10 years later even stronger and racking up hits again? Not trolling, but would she be coming back stronger? I do agree she seems to be more popular, but that song with Iggy Azalea went I believe #1 and Boom Clap went I believe to #2. That being said itβs definitely interesting, and quite the feat she is still bringing it especially as a solo artist. If anyone has pulled it off it was someone in a band, band kind of died off, and then solo artist starts to become popular. Maybe Robyn from a Worldwide perspective could be the equivalent- big late 90βs, came back with βDancing On My Ownβ about ten years later but somehow US radio skipped that song altogether.

Iβd say yes for stronger. The tour + apple seemingly about to take off + the hype behind guess + the album being consistent on the charts. Those peaks are higher for sure previously but she was also a feature on two of them

Huge breakout with 3-4 big hits from 99-02, then flopping close to a decade, then came back with his two biggest hits, I Like It and Tonight in 2010-2011.

Idk, βhitβ is really a reach there. Iβm old enough to remember when that was current, and it felt a pretty long way removed from βhitβ at the time. Outright flop on CHR, the hot 100 peak is actually surprising. Did it get a high profile performance or something that caused it to spike for a week on iTunes back then?

Weirdly, I also assumed βDo You Know (The Ping Pong Song)β being a huge hit. I guess it was locally for me. βTired of Saying Sorryβ was also a regional hit where I was.

βDo You Knowβ wasnβt a huge huge airplay hit overall, but it did receive a good bit of play from smaller market stations, so it would have felt bigger depending on where youβre from. My local stations in Alabama also spun it a lot and was high on their countdowns.

I wonder how far radio will take this. There's not much going on up ahead, so this should have smooth sailing to the top 5 hopefully.

His prior two singles, Addicted and Not in Love both peaked higher there, for example.
