This isn't necessarily a dig against this particular song but it is further proof that radio peaks below top 20/top 15 deceive us a lot of times on this forum because what do you mean the #27 song is heard by less than 1% of the population of the country and has 200k daily streams on Spotify? Really puts into perspective what is a hit and what isn't and why labels bend over backwards to get the songs into top 20 ASAP. Simple, the music plays on the big pop radio stations in the early hours of the morning, where the audience doesn't reflect However, the song still continues to reach the audience for some reason. In fact, today iheart's pop songs started playing during the day, tomorrow we'll see a big update |
