Well, they're releasing this on Friday unlike the first two singles. Maybe they'll actually invest in playlisting too.

it sounds like the most current of the 3 so far. I just heard the performance and not an actual snippet. I've read discussions about the RPM being slowed down from previously?

I like this but it doesn’t really scream single material. It’s a bit different for Katy which I appreciate and it’s much better than WW but I still like Lifetimes more. I’m excited to see the music video for this.

i am liking Katy's songs better than some of her songs at her peak. this with a real good sample of the Crystal Waters song.

I don’t think I’ll ever listen to this again, but it’s definitely the best production of the three songs so far. It actually feels like a well developed song. Although I’m confused how this is supposed to be a dance song, as it falls really flat, especially in the last chorus. There’s just no reason to listen to this again, I guess

As a whole, I like the song. It does fall a little flat, the vocals are very washed out, but it’s well rounded. Overall my favorite from the era. The beat could have used a drop and a better bridge somewhere in there after Doechii’s verse.
The vma performance of this was great

The chorus is catchy and I like the pre-chorus. I don't like Katy's verse, Doechii's verse works way better. The post-chorus is a problem, it feels like it's in slow motion? I wish it was sped up just a smidge.

Nice video. Goes nowhere but better than the half assed plot Woman’s World had or the low budget rush Lifetimes was. Should have been the lead

Love the video. This is easily the best package we've gotten so far. Bring on some hot club mixes.

I actually think the song is really fun. It’s cute for what it is.
I am also super impressed with the attempted rollout as far as having videos and promo singles ready to roll from the jump.

This is a banger. Instantly my favorite droplet from this album.
Katy sounds amazing but Doechii really stole the show and gave the song that extra oomph and dose of badassness. Can't believe she's not yet a superstar. She's really giving Doja Cat-level versatility.

This could have easily been a Doechii song IMO, and maybe should have been.

Eh. I actually prefer "LIFETIMES", can we give that one the push instead?

Is this playlisted anywhere? Now it's the time if the label is serious about it.

Why was this not the lead??? I don't necessarily think it would've smashed, but this is miles ahead of the other two songs, which were catchy but incredibly half-baked. And Katy is serving in the video. SO glad she ditched the goofy shit for this one. This is the exact energy she needed to bring for this era. Finally something that matches the aesthetic/vibe she was giving with the covers, which were really the only thing working for this project.
Also have to echo the sentiment that Doechii is way past due for a breakout moment.

I really hope this is a break out for her to turn the era around. Amazing song, super catchy in parts that I can see tiktok latching on to and great guest appearance and video. This is how you do it!

Man, this should have been either the lead or second "single" if we consider Lifetimes a single. Not familiar with Doechii but will be checking her out later. Is this doing anything on streaming? It seemed to be the standout moment from the performance at the VMAs, or maybe it just feels that way because of Taylor Swift?

She looks incredible, and the song is catchy. However, she needed to collab with a big streaming act for this. Doja Cat would have been perfect considering that they are both working with Dr. Luke.

Doja doesn't want to work with Luke though. She's still signed to him, but she fought hard to keep him off the last album.

It seemed to be the standout moment from the performance at the VMAs, or maybe it just feels that way because of Taylor Swift? The most viral thing from the VMAs according to my social media feeds was actually Sabrina, with Taylor Swift dancing and Chappell Roan as distant seconds. It doesn't seem like anything this year was particularly viral. This isn't a dig against Katy, she did well, it's just that the show feels a bit disconnected from pop culture.
