Is this doing anything on streaming? It seemed to be the standout moment from the performance at the VMAs, or maybe it just feels that way because of Taylor Swift?

The most viral thing from the VMAs according to my social media feeds was actually Sabrina, with Taylor Swift dancing and Chappell Roan as distant seconds. It doesn't seem like anything this year was particularly viral. This isn't a dig against Katy, she did well, it's just that the show feels a bit disconnected from pop culture.

Yeah I meant standout from her specific performance-the Taylor reacting to Doechii and her almost kissing was the only mention I saw of it. I have not watched any of the performances yet or the VMAs this year at all, but if I didn't know better I would have assumed it was a show where Taylor Swift watched Chappell Roan slaughter heterosexuality and literally nothing else happened lmao.

Maybe it's because I played it on my phone's speaker for my first listen, but it sounds...empty to me? Like it needed layered background vocals, a harder beat, a switch in the production halfway through, a bridge, or a tempo increase at the list minute or 1:30 to be closer to the original G*psy Woman tempo.

Any one of those things would have made it go harder, but so far all three songs sound like unfinished demos to me. I'll still give the album some spins next week because I've been a Katy fan since IKAG, but did she just shart out some demos to get out of her Capitol contract??

Should've been the lead. The video is great, the song is catchy and I could definitely see it going viral on the likes of TikTok with the right challenge/trend. Hope it's not too late for this to do decently and become a small hit!

It’s been on replay today, I’ll admit.

Doechii has been a low key favorite of mine all year so I’m just happy she gets a strong feature. She shines on this more than Katy to me.
