If they can hit the top ten with this on alt, they'll be the second of only two possible artists who've hit the top ten on Alternative Airplay within each decade of the chart's existence. The only other band who can (and did!) do this is Red Hot Chili Peppers.

I was going to mention Depeche Mode, but they didn't reach the Top 10 at all in the 2010s. Out of all the artists who hit the top ten in the 80s, had continued radio success in the following decades, and were still actively releasing music in the 2010s, U2 and Depeche Mode were the next closest bands who could achieve this. U2 missed the top 20 entirely in the 2010s on Billboard, and Depeche Mode peaked at 12 twice in the 2000s and only charted thrice in the 2010s with none of the three singles reaching higher than the top 30. What makes this even more impressive if Jane’s Addiction does this is that they’ve only released one album a decade. While not as impressive, Beastie Boys and Cake could both do something similar by charting in four different decades while hitting the top ten a similarly low amount of times. Beastie Boys only have 3 top tens while Cake have 4. Sorry but I'm really excited at the prospect of this happening lol |

It's ok. I would like to see it go top 10 so the aforementioned achievement is completed. But I think it's going to have to go top 10 on hype alone. The chorus doesn't hit like "Just Because" or "Irresistible Forces"

Really hate how they just rush everything in the beginning. Like, the verses, some riffs and stuff and the chorus are already in the song within 30 seconds, compare that to their older songs and even stuff like Twisted Tales where they took some time for everything to flesh out. Good production but it really feels like it needed some extra stuff or more length. Feels like they're working at tiktok length

Everything old is new again. Not sure why a veteran rock band like Jane's Addiction would need to follow TikTok guidelines though. This also feels much more "butt rock" than I'd typically expect from them. |
