Not saying, with the exception of Doo Wops - Unorthodox, Bruno's gaps haven't been long, and I certainly wish he'd come out with new music soon, but even if you calculate those exact averages, Bruno still releases on average slightly more frequently:

Bruno: 2+4+5+3 = 14/4 = every 3.5 years

Adele: 3+4+6+3 = 16/4 = every 4 years

What's interesting is the rest of our Top 3 as Jimin's Who climbs to #2 with an increase of 5.78% but BIRDS OF A FEATHER also gained by 1.49% despite dropping to #3.

FIELD TRIP crashed in its second week with a 25.69% decrease from last week - and the only song from VULTURES 2 to stick around - Hate Me's momentum stalled hard with a 16.9% drop. And it seems like Bye Bye Bye's ressurgence has already peaked as it fell 14.95% this week. Worryingly, 360 saw a drop this week of 13.5%, really hopping it can rebound soon so Charli gets a stable hit because Guess also saw a big drop of 26.43%.

We didn't see a lot of new entries this week, as Drake's No Good, Very Bad Year continued with Blue Green Red and It's Up vastly underperforming. In our gains, Sailor Song saw a big boost cracking the Top 100, whilst I Love You I'm Sorry enters the Top 50, and Big Dawgs continues its rise to #13.

genuinely believe this is the case since the song is already down to the 70s in his own home country and never even come close to the top 10, and the only streaming service it's actually doing anything in is Spotify (barely in the top 100 in Apple Music global). You would think that it's a US only thing but looking closer, in countries where BTS and K-pop is much more mainstream and often hit the top 5 organically and where "Who" is doing really good in Spotify (Japan, South East Asian countries), it's nowhere to be found in other streaming services like Apple Music, Youtube Music, or other local streaming services either.

while different rankings between streaming services do happen, a top 3 song in Spotify not being found anywhere close to the top 50/just barely in the top 100 in every other streaming services is not normal at all. so yeah, i'm about 99% sure it's majority driven by spotify farms

Jimin isn’t even top 200 on US Apple Music. It’s quite near impossible for a song to be steady near #1 on US Spotify for multiple weeks and it can’t even go top 200 on Apple Music.

Spotify needs to do better with filtering the streams for it. There has to be obvious signs of unrealistic streaming patterns.

Who's Spotify streaming farms are insane. It has 45% paid audio streams, which is unheard of in the US and even globally. Pretty much every song in the US has >80% paid audio.

So it has heavy free account streaming farms and also does barely anything outside Spotify (<20% of its audio comes from outside Spotify) which thankfully hurts its Hot 100 position. I wonder when they'll give up on it. They probably want fastest to 1 billion record or something, hopefully they don't get it (Seven over Flowers is already highly questionable but at least that song was somewhat known globally even if it was boosted by stanfraud - this one is PURE stanfraud).

I was under the impression that Spotify's (as well as all) major streaming services' fraudulence detection systems were pretty good and could quite easily filter out mass #'s of streams from one account.

And then in terms of BTS not being the only ones doing this, yes, it seems very likely that if their team are able to game the system, others would as well. Do you have any idea which artists do? I mean, I can make a guess on a few names, but I don't want to start any fan wars.

Fwiw, if they want to, gaming Apple Music and other streaming services is probably just as easy. Spotify is the obvious target because all their numbers are public and very visible, so it's easy to figure out how much effort should be put in.

also, all the chart accounts on twitter and other online publishing outlet usually talk about spotify numbers, because well, its there and easily accessible, so having good spotify numbers is easy ammunition for stan wars since again, very visible. saying that your fave is obviously more successful because they have 1 billion streams is more tangible than saying their fave is #1 in apple music for 3 days

I remember a Jimin fan confessed on TOTC discord that she uses family plan from Spotify that allows her to play the song from multiple devices at home. All of streams that are completed this way are technically legitimate even if they are from one user only.

Apple Music is harder to "game" because you have to pay to actually use it, whereas Spotify has a free tier.

Guaranteed if eligibility to count for the charts - not the royalty - changed from 30 seconds to 1 minute, it'd be evident which songs/artists are getting artificial boosts to game the charts. It's like the old days when people previewed a song on iTunes, except those 30- to 45-second previews didn't count.
