Megan has released the video for "Mamushi" and it's great!



She does the viral TikTok dance as well. Should hopefully boost the song to a new peak on the Hot 100 (currently #36). Rhythmic and Urban radio have also embraced the song and it's climbing decently on both. I really hope they continue to support it right to the #1 spots on both formats to supplement its streaming. Would love it to go Top 20 and hang around a while.

Edit: It's being reported that Billie Eilish is performing "BIRDS OF A FEATHER" at the Olympic closing ceremony!!! Hope it gets a big boost from that.

Usually you have performances from artists from the host country and then an artist or two from the country that is next hosting. A mix of classic songs and some newer songs usually.

I'm really curious to see how Drake does with his new release. If I had to guess, he'll get mediocre streaming numbers at best (although I could be wrong). He's been coasting off of vibes for years, releasing bloated, minimal effort albums and EPs.

I was also surprised to see the poor streaming numbers for Kanye, but in a similar manner, he's had low effort releases for years. Frankly, I wouldn't be mad to see a post-Kanye and Drake music environment.

Actually alright for Shawn. Katy had sort of a bigger push, (even if it might just be my social media bubbles liking her way more) and he still did better numbers. Doesn't seem like it's a number he can build into a hit without a lot of radio play though. We'll see.

I have been over Drake for so long now... but his new release is an interesting thing to watch as a chart fan. I don't think the feud killed his career but he may be finally moving more into a legacy act kind of thing? He's also just been in the game for a long time now so a decline could be just a natural thing. We'll see as well.
