That would be quite an improvement from Austin's 113k/34k pure.

I mean the entire industry practically was involved behind the scenes to give him a comeback story. Not to discredit, but also likeβ¦ if any popstar were given #1s by Taylor Swift & Morgan Wallen back to back (the biggest female/male artist of today), had 15+ artists on their album, and even got a Beyonce feature all in the span of a few months who *wouldnβt* be on an upward trajectory after underperforming prior.
It was one of the most industry organized rollouts if not the most Iβve ever seen. It was so reliant on other names that I just wonder how much interest is *actually* there for him going forward.

Yeah, this is very expensive project for Republic (his label), those duets and songs aren't cheap even though Taylor and Morgan are label mates with him.

It was one of the most industry organized rollouts if not the most Iβve ever seen. It was so reliant on other names that I just wonder how much interest is *actually* there for him going forward. I have some sympathy to Post as person so my position might be a bit incorrect but I find everything in this situation quite normal. Except feature on Taylor lead single. She had only one duet lead single before Fortnight which is didn't really fit with Lover era, picked over other songs with better potential and also forgettable. So its kinda strange that she returns to that strategy and do it with some radio unfriendly song. Given Taylor's large catalogue in recent years, there were other songs I'd rather listen to a duet with Post. Morgan has made a major impact at IHSH. Still there is two points about it. First, Post was doing good enough in pop even with Chemical. Wallen had some problems with his two scandals in 2020 and 2021. LN is his only track to hit top 10 on pop and peaked only at #5 when song has a really pop-friendly catchy chorus. So he had some help to clean his reputation. Second point is about big pre-release promotion with both sides and it did a pretty good job of making this song a kind of chart juggernaut. Album has a rich name list with big legends Dolly and Tim but does there any other chart monsters except Morgan? Luke had big singles like FAA and FC but only three top 10 tracks at all. I respect both Chris and Blake but it's hard to call them career savers too. Everyone else from album has not big achievements yet.

Working with Taylor is not always going to be a sure fire hit. I mean, Ed Sheeran and Future (at the time) were giant artists, especially Ed and "End Game" was a "Flop" by her standards. There are plenty of artists who do have big collaborations that never take off as well. If people didn't want to support, stream, buy, etc. Post they simply wouldn't - regardless if Morgan and/or Taylor were on respective songs. Sure, they didn't hurt but Post also has fans and carried and help the songs grow as well. I mean Post for one is barely even in the Taylor song. I think people just were ready and open from a fresh take of his material and it really paid off. You can only push the "Comeback" so much without actual support though from the general public it doesn't matter how many A listers or stunts you try. Post is a super likable guy as well ,he connects with a lot of people and made a lot of friends in the industry. Additionally, many of the artists he worked with on this CD spoke to his dedication and how impressive and serious he took "moving to country" and the effort and work he put in to write the music and work with all the songwriters in Nashville, etc. It helps too as he started with light country influences on his debut album and always spoke highly of country music and wanting to be in country music eventually as well.

Happy for Posty. He seems like a nice dude and he makes great music so it's nice to see him having a career resurgence.

Listening to Post's album. He's for sure going to have a semi-album-bomb. I think the album might also easily crack 200k. Call me now for all your other H100 and album sales predictions.

Taylor posted on her Instagram and Facebook encouraging people to buy and stream Post Malone's new album. How sweet of her. β€οΈβ€οΈ Oh please lol. Does she really not think we can see behind these feigned attempts at kindheartedness and graciousness now? This has zero credibility, when she has no problem using endless sales tactics to block other artists week after week, even when they've shown no clear malicious or ill intent towards her.

This has zero credibility, when she has no problem using endless sales tactics to block other artists week after week, even when they've shown no clear malicious or ill intent towards her. They're literally close friends. Do you know what nuance is? I'm fairly certain she isn't viewing her friends as direct competition in the same way she does with artists she has no personal ties to and are simultaneously her direct competitors, so I'm sure extending both kindheartedness and graciousness isn't a challenge in this respect whatsoever. Ya know, like it wouldn't be for most people. Most people are always going to extend their friends more consideration than strangers. Would you directly challenge your coworker and coincedentally best friend for the same promotion? Likey not. Would you directly challenge another coworker you're not friends with for the same promotion you both wanted? Yeah you would. Furthermore, nothing about Taylor wanting to secure the most possible weeks at #1 she can says or even insinuates she is doing so maliciously to directly "attack" or as a means to throttle another artist. Taylor is competitive and greedy, sure, but she isn't going to cross her friends and she only uses charts/releases as a means of retribution against other artists when she feels she was personally wronged or slighted by them in some way first (not even saying that to justify her actions, but for context). Most of the time, it's just business. Some of y'all let these variants get to y'all way too deeply to the point it clouds your rationale. She ain't Maleficent and evil incarnate just because she releases variants. Let's take a deep breath and relax a bit. lol Don't like Taylor for whatever specific reason all you want but to insinuate a person's incapable of extending generosity, grace, or of being genuinely happy for their friend because they don't extend the same to everyone is an absolute absurd take Olympic-level leaps and bounds away from logic. π

Lowkey youβre thegreatdivine if she was a Swiftie instead Oh no!! *womp WOMP* The poster in question is a passionate, opinionated, outspoken, very intelligent, and well-articulated woman. I know exactly what you're trying to imply and do here, but I'm not insulted being compared to another female member here I have zero issue with, and I'm old enough to not give a damn what any random online forum member thinks of me. lol None of you know me well enough (at all in actuality) to gather who I am or judge what I'm about and I don't particularly value your opinion anymore than I do any other internet stranger when it comes to how I'm received so. You just don't like I routinely might step in to disagree on or defend an artist I enjoy and you don't, with logical reasoning. With that said, anything of actual substance to add to the discussion as opposed to attempted personal "attacks"? =)

It wasnβt even an insult, just saw the strong parallel with how passionate your posts are to anyone who has any skepticism towards Taylor since TTPD. Take a breather girl no need to be on full on defense mode 24/7.

It wasnβt even an insult, just saw the strong parallel with how passionate your posts are to anyone who has any skepticism towards Taylor since TTPD. Take a breather girl no need to be on full on defense mode 24/7. So you're a liar too? Ok. Insinuating and then saying someone stays on "defense mode" obsessively responding to any and every skepticism/criticism of an artist isn't intended to be a compliment and we both know that. =) Let's not play like we don't know what we mean when we speak. If you're gonna directly confront someone personally, taking the thread off-topic, at least have the courage to stand by your feelings. lol But, ok, you just keep hiding behind those dated gifs. Are you stalking my every post? How would you know if I am anything 24/7? Some members on this forum love to gaslight people. I don't respond any differently than any other member here. I comment on a multitude of topics, of discussions, of issues, of artists. I routinely make many of my own criticisms of Taylor Swift on this forum I could literally quote and post right now. I am not "on full defense mode" of Taylor and you need to stop exaggerating and forcing your slanted, misguided view of how you percieve me (which is none of my business, not what we're supposed to be posting about here, and I don't give a damn about in the first place) onto me as my truth. I can pick and choose whichever criticism of whatever artist, including Taylor, on this forum I wish to disagree with the logic on and do so whenever I please. I don't respond to any and every criticism of Taylor. At all. Certainly not to anything subjective like whether or not someone likes her or her music or her whatever. I only typically disagree with logic I find faulty, which brings me to my original response. Did you even read the initial poster's comment?I don't care if they expressed "skepticism" of Taylor as you propose. Me responding had *nothing* to do with that. People make anti-Taylor posts here all the time and I say nothing, you just only ever seem to take note of the ones I reply to for some peculiar reason. I quoted the original comment because the criticism itself made zero logical sense for Taylor or *applied to literally anyone else*. It makes no sense to surmise that a person can't express genuine excitement and support or be sincerely encouraging toward their friend's release just because they aren't of strangers releases, especially in a competitive environment. There is literally no correlation between the two. What actual sense does it make? None. The flawed logic behind the criticism is why I actually responded. Not because it was someone "criticizing Taylor", but because you view me through YOUR biased lense, YOU chose to make it about me "constantly needing to defend any skepticism of Taylor". I would have argued that point had it been about Taylor or any other artist because it makes no sense. Period.

Eloqueen, girl please, I'm not reading your essay-long replies anymore. Yes, you are good with words and passionate about what you believe, but the fact you need to say so much just proves how painstakingly you have to twist and contort every single argument not in favor of Taylor to say that it is somehow wrong and completely unjustified. Can't you just accept the fact that she is not deserving of continual praise 100% of the time and that people will have a variety of things to say about her and move on?

Eloqueen, girl please, I'm not reading your essay-long replies anymore. Girl, the anti-intellectualism is interesting. If you can't rebuttal, debunk what I said, or defend how your original remark made any sense just say that. π Only on this forum would thoroughly and efficiently explaining your position in a discussion be considered a negative. Please, I beg of you, show me one singular place above where I "twisted" or "contorted" anything of what you wrote. I'm begging. I'm not altering or dumbing down the way I naturally conduct myself just because you're too lazy to read it or misinterpret my intentions or what I'm saying. You were wrong. Period. Not because you were criticizing Taylor. Because your logic in doing so made zero sense applied to her or to anyone else and I illustrated why. My response had nothing to do with her not being praised. I've made many of my own criticisms of Taylor. People are free to say whatever they like. If they use flawed logic, I may choose to respond, as I did with you, whether it be in regard to Taylor or any other artist, and if they don't like it they'll have to build a bridge and just get the hell over it. π€·ββοΈ

You didn't strike a nerve, I just don't take sh*t directed at me lying down anymore. I'll call it right on out every single time it comes my way. Nice chatting! =)

I hate seeing people who have historically had an attractive, uniquely informative and unbiased take on things start showing their ass and then get defensive when called out for it. I genuinely wish it wasn't happening. But here we are, complete with the "aNaLySiS" rebuttal next to a "I'm sorry, I'm laughing" gif. some of y'all are ridiculous.
but anyway, go POSTY!
