Yeah...I see the video going over most Gen Z kids' heads, but DBH is one of my favorite childhood movies and this video was a brilliant take on it. Also...in the funeral photo, the guy looked like Shawn LOLLLLLL.

It’s from 2007 (damn I’m old) and I’d hardly say it’s some enduring pop culture thing like a Mean Girls. One potential downside to its hit potential, though I think it’s too catchy to really matter. |

I have now heard the album. A lot of it mashed together for me but this was a clear standout and a logical single choice. Of the rest nothing is bad whatsoever but will have to revisit to see what could be the next single imo.

The Fame was an easy 5 though if we ever got to Starstruck. But she moved onto TFM too fast for that. Also think the thank u next album had a solid 6 or so that were all extremely likely to hit #1 on chr with a release, and ironically break up… is not one of the 6 I’m referring to. NASA and Needy in particular felt like they were locked for that with a push. Bloodline and Bad Idea certainly had #1 potential at least. |

I feel like Sabrina's thing is just how explicit she is with her lyrics compared to most other pop girls. And I don't mean the use of the word fuck, because they've all been using it for year.
I mean the explicit sex and the explicit violence. Or the use of curse words in unexpected places like the end of the Please Please Please chorus.
Like she juxtaposes this sweet, airy music with raunchy or violent lyrics and it's not something done often so it gives her music a unique flavor. And then there's the videos, starting with "Feather"
