I've, certainly, seen some weird chart moves over the years. The 2-6-2 flip-flop for "Million Dollar Baby" is, definitely, up there.

Why is Calling After Me by The Swallows still on the verge ? Smh

2) Two weeks ago 'Calling After Me' was still top 40, hence it still kicking around here now. It'll drop off in a couple of weeks when the AT40 chart reflects the general state of the Mediabase chart right now.

‘Greedy’ by Tate McRae has an outside chance of catching ‘High Hopes’ by Panic At The Disco in regards to staying on the countdown latest in the calendar year when it was the first number 1 song of the year in January. High Hopes lasted until 9-14-19 before falling off. Greedy needs a three week run at 40 to tie it. It is possible now with free fall of three songs ‘The Craving’ by Twenty-One Pilots, ‘feellikeimfallinginlove’ by Coldplay, and ‘Woman’s World’ by Katy Perry (who’s best music days are obviously behind her smh). ‘Agora Hills’ by Doja 🐱 can fall off before it as well. It’s an impressive feat from Greedy hanging on this long which could have been longer had it not been for the AT40 seeding hiccup when it unexpected dropped from 12 to 21 earlier on. We’ll find out next week and if Ryan Seacrest will make it a shocking 3 weeks in a row hosting which hitting the lotto has better odds.

Both "Greedy" and "High Hopes" would probably have been the last #1's of their previous years (2023 and 2018) if not for the two weeks with "frozen" AT40 charts when the year end countdown was played.

And while there has been some griping here about too many guest hosted weeks, at least this year we haven't had three or four such countdowns in a row in late August and early September as we did the last several years.

Very good point and 8 of the first 12 were descending on the AT40 countdown.

And the roller coaster continues for ‘Too Sweet’ by Hozier with the up and down instability of this chart … 2-4-2-5-3-5.

Seacrest said 2 The Moon is Pitbull's 34th AT40 entry but I checked my sheet and it's his 33rd. Someone confirm if I'm right or am I missing something.

It’s about time that ‘Belong Together’ by Mark Ambor rises out of the 30’s to number 26 on the AT40 chart. It’s been in the mid 20’s on mediabase for a while now.

This weekend of Sept. 7-8, Wheel of Fortune longtime co-host Vanna White will join Seacrest as this week's guest co-host during the final segment of the 4th/final hour of AT40. Seacrest has been named new host of WOF, succeeding Pat Sajak. WOF will air its new season on Sept. 9 with Seacrest.
