The production on this does go pretty hard tbh. I just need it to be a bit more palatable I think. Like itβs almost too rough and dark for me I think. And I like dark pop Gaga, BM was always a song I would shout from the mountain top during the BTW era as the unsung star of the show.

Its great for the first 10 listens then it's noisey and everything is just not Radio friendly. It sounds like nine inch nails kinda. These are the reasons why it is GOOD imo but it's subjective, |

It's a fairly dramatic drop. It's global numbers were cushioned because of Oceania not having a full day of tracking on first days numbers. |

APT, Greedy and Die With A Smile also didn't start in the top ten and then grew. Meanwhile, Timeless and the other Weeknd song started high and nosedived. |

Like, we've already had Artpop, Joanne, Chromatica but people still want Gaga fans to expect Fame Monster/BTW numbers so they can cry when those numbers don't come and then get upset when there's no tears. She has done jazz. She has done movies and soundtrack singles and albums. A random Elton John and Chic covers. A duet with The Rolling Stones. She had like 8M monthly listeners on Spotify when Joanne came out. NOTHING related to Gaga and charts surprise us any more, apart from the scale of success DWAS has got this autumn. EDIT: We can and WILL obviously discuss but at least for me the only thing that matters is the she delivers good music and is happy when doing it. For every #30 peaking song there can be a top 5 around the corner because you just never know (unless you are Taylor Swift). |
