Drowning Pool’s back I guess? New song comes out Friday with Ryan McCombs back as lead singer.

The Ryan McCombs era was probably the only time Drowning Pool’s been listenable-to-good since Dave Williams’ tragic passing. This has a chance to be good.

Yeah, this is the best I've heard from DP since McCombs' last album with the band, but McCombs' vocals have gotten rough. McCombs' way around hooks is absolutely necessary for DP, but McCombs just cannot yell/scream anymore. His clean singing still sounds fine, but it's too bad there's so little of it here. Lyrics are nothing special, but at least they flow okay.
